Original Yin-yangs
I know thats an oxymoron but I was wondering if anyone had any original work they had done with yin yangs.
This one I made spur of the moment the other night... http://www.ximcity.com/upload/Sun Moon Yin Yang.jpg What do you think of this? Does it look even? |
Looks good to me.....Cool concept
|
That's some pretty cool imagery!
I think the idea of "customized" versions of stock symbols is pretty cool. There tends to be a lot of that in the tattoo industry, which is where I get most of my exposure to art. So that may affect my preferences. Thanks for posting. |
I'd like it more if the moon portions and the sun portions were kinda fused, not so much of a dead-on brightline between the two.
|
I love how the edges of the main circle match, and how there's not blending of the inner circles and curves. It makes it less natural...
|
Looks good, make 1 of the earth and Mars.
|
Venus and Mars, if you get the idea...
|
That's pretty cool, I like the concept.
|
nice work there.
This is picky, but if the moon had a bluer radiance to it, it might accentuate the red sun a bit more. |
cool

That's a really cool concept,
One thing I would suggest is to add some flame effects overlapping the lines so it isn't so clean cause it looks off being so clean cut. |
Sorry I hadn't checked back here for a while, thanks for all your input. Im kinda tired right now but tomorrow if I have time I think I will make one of venus and mars.
I have the lines clean for a few reasons, one is that the original symbol is very clean cut, not a fade or anything. Two, when i made it I wasnt thinking of making a new yinyang planet, it was just a yinyang, so a blend didn't seem necessary. Also if I wanted to fade it I dont know of any filters or effects that look realistic/natural enough to confidently add to it. If anyone knows of a way to do that please speak up and I will make other versions. |
Well I wouldn't recommend using filters I would use new layers and create the effects using airbruch techniques.
|
Excellent
|
That's very creative.
I like it! |
as a Yin Yang.. its original, but actually... You just made me think of the Inka. They had many gods, but Inti and his sister were the two main gods. Inti is the Sun and his sister is the Moon. They are equal yet opposites.. much like the yin yang represents. Aside from that anthropoligical lesson though.. Nice Work! :)

Ive been trying to find good pictures of venus and mars (on google images). I have found a couple, but none were mindblowing. I would like them to be at least 640x480 allthough I might shrink them down later.
Also I'm thinking of the colors, mars is red of course, but since tan clouds cover the surface of venus, they have other types of pics available like radar surface maps and stuff. But I think I will end up just going with the natural tan color. So that'll be tan on red. |
Innovative, fitting
