I like it, how do you make the loops and stuff around the corners? illustrator? and what font did you use for the menu?

Bermuda, the loops and such are some homeade brushes and some downloaded brushes off sites, the font is "cheltpress" which you can get from dafont.com, Golden, i'll try to add some more details up top, because it does seem a little too open, the pink box is where my text will appear (i need to make the box a tad bit larger), and i will be using both flash and dreamweaver o_O

nice layout. I would make the pink a little bit darker though. I think it just doesnt look quite right.

I like the color scheme. The pink seems to be at odds with the rest of the colors, but I like it that way.

Very impressive.

edit: on looking a little more critically, I can see where the top is a little empty, but I like that fact that the emptiness draws my eye down towards the bright pink, and outward toward the scroll-like work on the left.

yeah the colors are definetly cool, I would suggest getting a little more going at the top it does look plain.

I also think darkening the pink would really make it look better but it is still a nice color to go with there and really gives the look some personality!!!

hey wanker, its cool that you are going to make a personal site, i'd be interested in checking it out when it is done, since i'm quite a fan. i'm gonna redo my website eventually when i get the time. anyways.

here's my suggestion for your comp. i don't mind your color scheme, it is pretty interesting actually. the only thing that bothers me about it is the size of your information window. if you are going to have this as a portfolio site to show off your work, you are allotting quite a small area to have you pictures show up. even as thumbnails, it might be too small, so you might want to make that larger.

yea, i realized how small it was once i viewed it on the forum, i'll bumpt up the size 20 or 30% and see how that fits, thanks for the suggestions!...you said you are going to redo your site? so does that mean you already have one? if so post the link man!

yeah doing music has cost me the most money. i've dropped a couple thousand dollars into it. including my switch from pc to mac, which has been a good thing in the long run, but makes things a bit more expensive. music is my main passion, but i settle to do other artistic endeavors. i work with film/video too. i'm hoping to have my work done by the middle of december.. i'll make sure to post it so everyone can see it.

Here's a thought for the blank space at the top, make it rollover sensitive, either with the menu choices or with a pointer follower. Just a thought. I think it looks kind of neat just empty there.

the image itself looks fine, but if you are using slices remember, using an image set as your site pages makes it impossible for slow connections to access your site.

Best to either cut back on the graphics or save as gif or png.

That said, cool design, love the loopies. I cant advise on color though (colorblind) but looks good to me.
