I recently attended the Toronto Creative Festival. There I learned how to make beaded necklaces. I quickly fell in love with the craft. I was wondering if anyone else here enjoys beading. Or any other type of crafting they would like to showcase.

I don't really do any crafting, but I've always been interested in various crafts.

A big one for me is that I've always wanted to get into quiltmaking.

Quilt making is a beautiful art. Much like knitting. I think that would be a grand thing to learn how to do. However I don't think I have the patients for either of them.

I used to create scrapbook pages, but the inspiration left when my ex did. Maybe one day it will come back.

I took a scrap booking lesson at the Creative Festival as well. I was surprised at how much I was taken by it. It truly is a lot of fun. I have yet to make one with my own photographs.

It's a really relaxing craft. I've done a bunch of earrings in the past and recently started learning how to make beaded flowers. I don't have a picture right now but will try to add some at a later date.

All of my beading things are at my boyfriends, I wont be there until the end of next week. I'll see if I can get him to snap a couple pictures and post them on here for me

And yes. I spent many hours of my youth making at selling all types of bead work. I don't any more~ Thankfully.

I grew up making rings, headbands, belts, necklaces~ My father taught all his kids so we could sell them.

I am working on a Quilt of all my sport Uniform t-shirts. Just bought all the backing and materials today.

So there is a few of the earrings I've done, it's been a long time though since I did those. I recently took up the craft again and the daffodil is the first flower I've done. Working with thread and stitching is harder than just stringing but some of the things you can make are just so cool.

Thanks Cat_Eyes, I just recently got back into it again. Most of what I learned from the native women in Alaska. I have a problem though in that I start a project, get bored with it and then start another. So I have many crafts going at one time

Here is the Christmas jewelry I've been working on for two of my family members.


This is a necklace I made for my Aunt Helen. The necklace took me a day to make. I think the outcome was worth the hard work.


This bracelet I made is for my cousins wife. I still need to fix the clasp.


This necklace is also for my cousins wife. The photo charm is of their newborn baby boy.


This bracelet is for my Aunt Helen. The photos are of her two suns and their spouse. The baby is her granddaughter.
