I was listening to an extremely good trance record.

I had also been dying to work on something that would require some OCD. This certainly satisfied the itch.

Most of the pixel work was done with Paint. Touch-ups, text, and "special effects" accomplished using Gimp.

LOL, just imagine all those little red spheres blinking like LED's. Yeah, definitely could be a bomb ^_^. While I was working on it I had super nintendo, r-type kinda stuff on my brain.

Ths is pretty cool. Pixel art is fun to me... it feels real universal, like no matter what kinda video card or monitor you have, it will always look the same. I look forward to seeing more.

The thing I like about pixel art is the absolutely INSANE level of control you have over the image. I'm really detail oriented with my art, and sometimes when I'm working with pencil or paint my *pulse* gets in the way of putting a dot or line perfectly where I want it. Not with pixel art. You can be as OCD as you want, no pulse to worry about, just zoom in. If I could just zoom in on shit with my real eyes I temporarily stop my heart a will, I would be set.

That's true. I know I can't trust myself to draw reliably at all. I'm a far better graphic artist than I am an actual artist.

But that's not saying much 'cause I suck at both.

Keep it up - I wanna see more.
