Oh yeah, this one always seems to hit a chord even if it's an oldie. It's true. How far away is he?

He's about 6 1/2 hours by car. He's in Ontario and I'm in New York. Straight west mostly. So it's not too bad. I saw him last weekend, and I'll be going out again next weekend. Could be worse right?

Then again, could be better!

I recently finished up 27 weeks of Army training in Missouri and Texas. My husband (who was my fiancee up until the last month of training) was back here in Michigan the whole time, save for BCT graduation and Memorial day weekend (our wedding weekend!).

During training he sent me a mix CD of songs he thought I'd like to listen to... just normal stuff... but there was a song on there that reminded me of him. It was comforting listening to this song while he was so far away... it just made me feel close to him.

It turns out the same song had the same effect on him, and we would both listen to it throughout the weeks and months we were apart, thousands of miles away from each other, unaware that the other one was listening to this song and feeling the same way.

I still get choked up when I hear "I Miss You" by Blink 182... it just reminds me of how much he loves me, and how lucky I am to have found him
