Diaries
Amy's diary
i don't know if anyone has seen this site, but i find it incredibly funny. it inspired me to break out the old diary, and i thought it would be fun to write things from diaries in here, since it's generally pretty amusing to read your deepest thoughts when you were under 10. i'll start us off, even though it may be a tad dull. november 26, 1991 Today on full House Jessie + Becky had to much work + purples won the math game this is how i wrote from like grade one to three pretty consistently, i would say what happened on full house and who won the math game at our school. may 12, 1995 Dear Diary, Jayde told me yesterday that someone liked me, in my class. Later on she told me it was Ryan Campbell! I would date him if it is true, but can I trust Jayde and made a move? She's been known to lie! I mean, Ryan's the cuttest guy in my class, well one of them. He could get anyone he wants! I'm not the coolest, or hottest, girl in the class. Plus, if most guys go for the breasts, I wouldn't be the first! It's a possibillity, but I won't take the chance. i find it funny that i worried about lack of tits in elementary school. anyone want to join in? i hope this thread wasn't as lame to start as i'm thinking it might have been... |
I will add some.....but I will have to go dig that thing out of where ever it has been for the last 15 years!
Good idea!:) |
Hahah, yeah, I have a diary from a long time ago too. Mind if I post some funny diary entries?
|
I didn't write dates down in my diary, but I think this was from around when I was 10....
" Its funny, I went to the PNE knowing that I didn't like anyone, and I came back knowing I like Jonathon!" " Well diary, I know I said last summer that I liked Jonathon and I try telling myself that I'm not boy-crazy, but I just can't seem to get my mind off of Ryan.......He found out I'm ticklish and so he's always tickling me. I can't say I'm complaining or anything......." There's lots more, I've been keeping a diary/journal for about ten years now, but those were the first few entries I could find that were worth posting :) I'll find more..... |
Here's a couple of mine, okay?:
--- 1 January 1996 Today is a fun day. We ate pizza. We went ice-skating. And I played with Garrett. He said he would kiss me under the bed. I like him. --- 16 March 2000 Cassandra is totally threatening my relationship! It makes me REALLY ANGRY when Cassie leans on Justin and hugs him and all. She is even buying a candygram 4 him. GRRR! Cassandra WILL DIE!! --- 23 June 2000 Hey diary! Sorry for not writing for such a long time! I've been working on my webpage! Another thing! I am babysitting an 'egg baby' for health class. It is supposed to show us abstinence is the good way! --- As you can see, I was a very strange and disturbed child. (I dotted every 'i' and exclamation point with a heart. Good lord.) On top of that, it's really weird how fast you can mature- I've come a long way in four years. |
Oh wow....it's been a while since i've seen my diary, but i pulled it out just for you guys. I can't find my diary from elementary school, but i found one from senior yr of high school! Dear lord, it's so embarassing!
I saw Eric for the first time in 5 years at the hockey rink. He came up and gave me a huge hug. We talked for a bit. He gave me another hug just in case he didn't see me after the game. I walked back to my friends on a cloud. My friends asked who he was with big smiles on their faces. I told them and just smiled a lot. During the game, Heather yelled at him every time he walked by. Eric was a guy i was friends with/crushed on in jr high. God he was hot, and such a sweetie! I, for some reason, liked to recount my days in a play by play kind of recount. I should have gone into sports broadcasting or something! lol |
wow... Mine don't go back quite that far... and I've lost more of the journals that I did have previously to 2000. I did have some pages in one from the early 90's... but I ripped them out and threw them away so I couldn't read them anymore (did that to help begin getting over being molested).... so I don't have many at all before 2000.
But I'll add to the post with some of the oldest ones I have currently: 4/23/2000 As I look at myself I see a happy person with lots to give and lots of hope. Yet when I looked iinto a mirror I saw a nothingness beyond all disbelief. I am happier now than I've ever been, am happier with myself more than ever, but I feel empty, like I'm not giving enough. 3/19/01 Laying Awake. eyes glued shut... pallid skin deep blue... matted golden hair, wavering in the wind.... the noose being pulled tight. No air, No life, No time, Only struggle... Minutes grow longer.. Breathing weakens... Last living thought.. "I loved you" K....figure that's all I'll add.. because I don't want to take up too many pages ;) |
I'll have to go find the one I kept in elementary school. I wasn't very good at writing in it so it didn't last long. I don't think I'll have written anything as deep as Bluebongo!
I was recently reading my journal I kept while in Ecuador and I was amazed at how much I had forgotten about that trip (which was in 98). It made me want to start keeping a diary again so I won't forget my whole life when I'm old. |
I tried to keep so many different diaries when I was young, but I was never happy with the fact that I had nothing to write about, so there would be about three entries in them before I threw them away.

I've kept a journal every year, since I was about 10 or 11 - all that stuff got tossed in various moved, but since my mid 20s -- one of my new years day traditions is to buy a new journal, in whatever color suits my fancy, and burn the previous years. It's a bizarre form of therap to just make all those thoughts and stuff go up in smoke.

When I was 10 we did one for school. Most of what I wrote was what happened in school and how great a teacher my teacher was. Since she was reading it I brown-nosed a ton. (stupid kid)
Later when I was in highschool I kept one. My brother showed it to some friends and my Mom thinks a friend of mine stole it then when she saw it. Mostly all I recorded in Junior high and highschool was about the Berlin Wall coming down and then later about the Gulf War. Mostly I recorded statistics like how many planes were shot down one day, and what the latest movement of men was. I recorded about their boots - the boots they were originally issued let all the sand in and withing minutes they were walking with heavy sand filled boots. Shwartzkoff was pissed about it because they should have planned ahead and ordered new boots ASAP. Funny how little stuff like that sticks out in your head. Well I don't have that diary anymore - just the older brown-nose crap. |
i'm so glad some of you girls are enjoying this. i do keep a diary now, but it's not nearly as funny and stupid as when i was a kid. i love reading other people's. thanks for the input.
i'm kinda with redgirl in that i mostly write to remember things. but not just when i'm old- i have a terrible memory and will often forget things like minutes later so a diary can help preserve memories that would be important if my brain weren't such a vacant place. |
