Hi girls thanks for you replies in the masterbation thread. Just wondering what age you were when you started? Interesting :hmm:

As I said, I remember masturbating as young as 6; but I imagine I started before then. Most children become intrested in sexuality at age 4.

I remember masterbating when I was 10. Before that I can't remember if I did or not. I just remember it when I was 10 because I got caught. lol I just feels like I've always enjoyed it.

i masturbated when i was 8 when i didnt know what it was. mom caught me and told me it was bad and not to do it anymore. i rediscovered it at age 16.

As early as I can remember...3? 4? I remember reading about orgasms in a sex ed book in 5th grade and thinking "oh so THAT'S what those are!" I don't know if I was overly precocious or if children have been so idealized and desexualized that we just never talk about it like it's a normal thing for prepubescent kids. Not that kids SHOULD be sexualized...but you know what I mean. Kids aren't looked at as having any kind of sexual identity or agency, pretty much.

To be honest, I have not truly mastrubated until age 18. I never got any pleasure out of it before then.

Uh, I think I was 16. I tried it a couple of times before, I think, but that was my first self-induced orgasm.

I think i always had pleasure form it but it was not until I was about 12 that it resulted in an orgasm (and became really fun :) ).

I don't remember any of it, but apparently when I was very young, like 4 or 5, I was constently touching myself and my mom had to always tell me to stop. :p Although that was probably more natural curiousty than masturbation. The first time I can remember purposely masturbating for sexual pleasure was probably like fourth grade. I can't say for sure though.

not to sound abmormal, but I don't think I really started till after i lost my virginity... just never felt like it :shrug:

Haven't been to the other thread yet, but I was 11 when I first recall masturbating. I may have done it prior to that, but I really don't remember.

I really don't remember maybe 10. and some of these ages scare me because my oldest daughter is 8!

I recall at the age of 7 was the first time I ever felt sensation in my breasts. I wonder. My mom was always really open about sex and sexuality with me, so I knew what it was. I just never did it. I know I messed around (probably Jr. High age) and quickly decided it was a waste of time. I guess I just never had that happy accident that made me go "Oh, that felt good, I wonder if I could do it again?". I didn't know what I was missing, so I never cared to really try.
