Airbrushing ahoy!
Thought this would make some of us feel better... I know it made me just grin and grin.
http://homepage.mac.com/gapodaca/dig...ini/index.html Sorry I haven't been around btw, but my house is clean and my kids are happy with a playful mommy, hope all are doing well *hugs* Xap |
wow. big difference. now i wanna airbrush myself! :P
|
I wish I could be permanently airbrushed. :/
The difference there is amazing! |
That is crazy the difference the airbrushing makes.
It makes me wonder what the stars really look like. |
so carmen electra DOESN'T look like that.
I knew airbrush made a difference but THAT is a HUGE difference, wow. But the full body picture, the natural one looked better than the air brushed. Tsk tsk tsk. God bless photoshop, but what a nightmare it's caused for women's self confidence every where. |
(I probably shouldn't be posting here)
So don't Yes, I was warned that my penis would be chopped off if I did it again |
And we wonder why teen woman -- woman everywhere -- have body image problems. If you ask me, real is much better!
|
I think she looked better before.
Real life is better then real fake. |
I couldn't beleive how dark her face was, like around her eyes especially. But I think she was still pretty before. That's so interesting! Thanks for posting it!
|
BTW: most clothing catalogs (Roamans in particular) stretch the length of the models legs (photographically, not physically) to that they look taller and slimmer.
Take a look some time at the proportions. |

i can't believe the difference. i can only imagine what some of these stars really look like.
|
Well now, If I could be airbrushed like that I might could look like a star too!!!
|
Wow, what an eye opener. Thanks for the link! :)
|
..
|
wow brush me!!! what a diffrence!
|
if only everything in life could have a good dose of airbrushing ; )
ok, maybe not everything, cuz some things are beautiful as is, but there's a lot of ugly out there fer sure. |
That is awesome. I've done a bit of that in some of my photos. It works like a miracle... but not too much isn't always good in airbrushing, just remember that.
|
That just makes me sick.....
|
Me next, me next!!!!:D
|
Holy cow....I can't believe the difference... now i don't feel so bad. She looks better natural.
|
Omg! The difference in before and after is amazing!!
And btw I think all of the airbrushing in ads and magazines sets a horrible example for kids/teens today. Naturally, no one is perfect. And when kids see those pictures they strive to look like those people... and that's why many kids today aren't happy with their appearence. Thanks for sharing these pictures it's really interesting to see |
Wow! That made me feel 10x better! Thanks Xapphire!
|
What was great to see. As for clothing catalogs - I appreciate the Walmart flyers. They use real people from their company and they don't look like airbrushed models and still look good. Even put their names on there with each person. Wish there was more stuff like that. I'm definately not perfect - surgery scars, stretch marks, dark circles under the eyes, and varcose veins too - but no man has criticised me for them. I try my best to look a them as "medals" from the things I've done and been through. They all tell a story to a point. Gotta love who I am and what I do not what I look like.
|
The model looks almost plastic, like the dolls.
(http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...threadid=26677) I like the original version better, although I wouldn't have any problems with a temporary airbrush! Just for a special occasion... |
I knew they altered the pics for mags and stuff but the difference is unreal. And yes, got to wonder what the woman really look like...
|
Wow! While combatting low self esteem I must say that did boost mine a bit. hehe.. I knew actress/model photos editted flaws.. but sheesh, that's a crazy transformation!
It's a shame our society seems to do this so often instead of embracing true beauty. I'm inclined to think it really does affect how the general female population feels about how they look themsleves. =/ Welllll, I am attracted to and cherish the quirky things that set people apart... not perfect symmetry. =) Y'know, I have to add that's why I like coming to this board... you folks really seem to accept, enjoy, and encourage eachother's differences. |
