Anyone had one break and not get pregnant?

It had spermicide also.

How many days into your cycle are you, anywhere near ovulation?

It happened the day after ovulation. I am sure of this because I had cramps the entire day on ovulation day and I checked with a ovulation planner.

I think the odds are in my favor though that I won't get preggo?? It was his second time ejaculating in a ten minute time frame so there wasn't much there and we were using a condom with spermicide.

I won't know for a couple of weeks.

What do you girls think the odds are???

I haven't had a condom break, but I have had one come off during intercourse. (damned Trojan Twisted Pleasures...) Both times I took the morning after pill, though--once before it was over-the-counter (2+ hour wait at Planned Parenthood and $80) and once after (walked right up to the pharmacy counter and $35)

I'm thinking you're on the safe side, considering it wasn't a "full batch", but I guess it could fall under the heading, "Stranger Things Have Happened". I wish you luck in either case.

Yea I am not going to take anything to prevent it, I believe things happen for a reason. I am married and have a stable home life. Maybe if things were different I would be in a panic right now.

I am just more in the mellow "lets see what happens" frame of mind.

I wouldn't be terribly concerned since you're in that frame of mind. It's rather unlikely all things considered.

He probably tossed out most of his semen in that first shot, so odds are pretty good that you won't become pregnant. Still, that close to ovulation - I can see why you would be concerned.

The lessons to learn are as follows:

Oil destroys latex chemically, and oils on the skin can be present for several hours after application. In the case of vaginal medications (canisten etc) they can still be present days later. 2. Always use the right size. Most slippage is from people who use the wrong condom size. It is just as bad to use a huge condom on a normal cock as t is to use a tiny condom on a huge cock.

3. Even lubricated condoms need extra lube if you are banging away for more than a few minutes. If you are not a naturally wet lady, or if you are having anal sex at all, use extra lube. See point one above - unless it states "latex safe" on the label, do not use it.

4. Ensure the condom has the appropriate quality marks - in Europe, all condoms have to (by law) carry the CE mark if the are intended for contraception (rather than as novelties). In ZA they should have the SABS mark. There are other similar marks around the world. In Britain (and much of the Commonwealth) the BSI Kitemark is an even better indicator of quality, as i requires a higher level of testing from the normal international standards.

5. If you change holes, change condoms. This goes for moving from person to person too. Not just for the health risk associated with A to M, or A to V, but also because all the lube on a condom comes off the first time you stick it into someone.

I wish we had been in that state of mind when it slipped off one night...it also had spermicide but we decided to not take chance since I'm in school...we're not ready etc. Let us know when you do :) If you can avoid the morning after definitely do. I think it is a wonderful thing but it's still messing with my hormones. I'm waiting on my period and panicking each day it's not showing up. *CROSSES FINGERS* We've been really careful so I'm probably just being paranoid. Good luck!

Congratulations and I'm sorry??? Well, when you decide to have another bebe let us ladies know that as well so those of us who don't have kids can live vicariously thru your pregnancy. (Plus might help me decide one way or the other!)
