i fail at it.
spray. k, i've never tried standing up, but if i even hover, i'm spraying. if i'm in the woods or behind a bush squatting, i'm likely to hit my foot. and, it is not a hairy/large obtrusive genetalia thing getting in my way /shudder i'm pretty small and smooth. sooooo... how would I fix the spraying problem? curious ![]()

well, the trick to it is putting a finger on either side of the clit and pulling slightly up and out. you practice in the shower (aim for drain) first. keep a strong , steady stream throughout to avoid dripping and spraying. don't let it peter off, just stop forcefully. you will get the "spreading angle" after some experimentation.
the first time i tried, i mis-aimed and sprayed it all over the wall behind the toilet... |

yes, for me at least
![]() i suppose there could be an efficiency advantage, provided one does not spray. does one still have to wipe? (erm .. please say yes!) i dunno. i'm all for efficiency. but beyond that ... it's just novelty. not that there's anything wrong with novelty... in a general sense ![]()

Yes, you are right...it's just a novelty thing. And possibly an envy thing. I always wished I could pee standing up outside like a man, rather than squat and, like you mentioned, have to wiggle away from the pee at the same time so it doesn't get on my feet.
![]() And, yes, unless one is outside, I would hope they would always wipe.

me and my runny nose usually has a tissue in pocket/purse ...
but, i suppose my penis envy is only to the extent of the ability to spear a hot female on it. erm ... yeah ![]()

It's actually quite a lesson in making yourself go(no pun intended) against the teachings of our youth, to break the bonds of what we were told is 'normal' and 'correct' and loosen those ingrained inhibitions.

you know, i need to try this. I see perks at bars and clubs for sanitary reasons.
ha, that would make me have to put the seat up. Thats a funny thought to forget to put it down and hear the drunken splash of the girl after me falling into the toilet.

how does this 'hover' work? do you have one leg on either side of the toilet, straddle fashion, or do you just sit as you would normally, feet more or less in front of you, sitting down but above the seat?
if the former, do you face forward (like sitting) or backwards (like standing)? obviously i've never tried it ![]() oh, and do you lift up the seat, just in case, or... not?

SiN: do it once or twice in the shower to see which way you naturally 'flow' and to get the hang of standing(it's not that easy breaking a lifelong 'habit').
Squatting's not the same thing-a lot of women do that in public restrooms and leave their godawful mess for the rest of us to deal with. Y'all could also try this: http://www.shenis.com/about.html

I just thought to post this poll for women who would be interested to check out this website.
Here's a poll about the very topic. Hopefully it will serve as a good as this site as a resource for women. http://www.misterpoll.com/1008915871.html Quote:
![]() For years I've always found that hover or squat uncomfortable and sometimes it sprays for some reason (stress) and I often ended up getting nasty cystitis from hover or squat because it doesn't empty the bladder completely. So I decided to learn to pee upright for bit over couple of months ago and I have not had any bladder infection at all. I find pee upright is easier, quicker and clean. I have found several great links for women who would be interested to learn how to pee standing up. http://web.archive.org/web/200306041.../standing.html http://kittiesarethebest.blogspot.co...ure-eight.html http://www.myvag.net/pee/standing/ Last edited by ModernGirl; 04-05-2007 at 03:08 PM.. ![]() omg, i totally can't do that. granted, I hydrate like a mofo, and have a bladder smaller than a walnut ... if i gotta go, i gotta go. I do try to avoid the 'gotta pee so bad my eyes are turning yellow' thing. besides, how can that be healthy? ..... this seems to be sidetracking a bit into a 'sit on a public toilet seat (the typical kind, not the freeway reststop kind, necessarily..) ... or not'. i dunno, strangely i'm quite more freaky and cautious about what my hands touch, than my backs-of-upper-thighs. /shruggle
