I'm just wondering about other women's experiences with spontaneous orgasms?

One night recently, I can't remember exactly what I was dreaming about, but I remember waking up in the night and I was having an orgasm. I wasn't touching myself or grinding my hips or anything and I was even still fully clothed (I had passed out drunk). There was absolutely no physical stimulation at all. That was a 100% fantasy-induced orgasm (though I can't remember the fantasy, seems unfair). I went back to sleep thinking "what the hell was that?" Not that I'm complaining. Sure, I've woken up aroused before but not actually in the midst of a spontaneous orgasm. And sure, I heard that women could have "wet dreams" too, but it just never happened to me before.

Anyone else with experiences like this? Just trying to get a sense of how common or rare it might be.

Lol! Actually, I only had one martini and something else, a mix of vodka, lemonade and a couple other things, I'm not sure. It hit me because I'm small, don't drink often, hadn't eaten all day, and had only slept 4 hours the night before. I wasn't wasted, but very tired and pleasantly buzzed.

This has happened to me before too. I was dreaming about having sex and I woke up right as I was at the end of my orgasm. It was definitely a little weird to have an orgasm from absolutely no stimulation.

I have had orgasms while dreaming before too. They've been intense in a different way from a physically stimulated orgasm but resulted in a physical response all the same. It's always been after having had a lot of sex the night or two before and the dream is always a bondage sex type. Though that's 75% of what my sex dreams are anyway. I have a similar experience about once a month give or take. Most of the time I'll wake up at the end of a sex dream and be able to fully enjoy the results. Like others have said, it's a bit different from an orgasm had during real physical sexual contact, but definently an orgasm regardless. But the point is, you're not odd, and enjoy it!

Something similar happens to me from time to time..I'll be having a sexual dream, and I almost have an orgasm during my sleep...but I don't think I've ever fully had one, I always end up frustrated in my dream and when I wake up I can tell that I didn't quite have one. They're still good dreams though

i have asked many a female, essentually, the same question and, till now, have found none that could relate.

to be fair, i wouldn't call that a "spontaneous" orgasm, as you were stimulated by a dream. (i would assume a spontaneous one would come out of nowhere )

i have never had a spontaneous one, but i have had many mild orgasms without any physical stimulation, whatsoever. it has happened when i am largely concentrated on lascivious thoughts. before someone goes thinking i am lucky, it has happened at some very inoppurtune times!

Well, it sort of happened to me again last night, not quite an orgasm this time, but more like what Medusa is saying. I woke up feeling the beginnings of an orgasm but didn't quite go over the edge. Unfortunately, I was staying at a friend's house on his sofa in a bachelor apt, and I was too sleepy to get up to go to the washroom for privacy, so I couldn't finish myself off manually, if you know what I mean. I see what you're saying, but I think I read somewhere that the "clinical" definition of "spontaneous orgasm" is technically "orgasm without genital contact."

I just wanted to add, and I don't know if this is true for anyone else, but the "dream orgasms" are different than waking ones. It's almost like a body memory. Like in my mind I am having sex and remembering, bodily, what the orgasms feel like. It's a little weird and, I am finding, hard to verbalize, lol. I've only had the experience once, of dream orgasms, and it was about 20 years ago. It was the most powerful orgasm I ever had in my life and it woke it me from my sleep. Yeah, I do... When I have a fuller bladder, I orgasm more intensly. I never understood why, and I didn't know others felt like this. I guess I'm not alone! Hi! I am new here. I wanted to ask a question about this topic. I sometimes feel like I am having a spontaneous orgasm when I am under a lot of stress. This feeling is different than when I am orgasming from sexual arousal or stimualtion.
