I hope there are no other threads about this, I took a quick look, but maybe didn't search for the right keywords.

I'm just wondering about other women's experiences with spontaneous orgasms?

One night recently, I can't remember exactly what I was dreaming about, but I remember waking up in the night and I was having an orgasm. I wasn't touching myself or grinding my hips or anything and I was even still fully clothed (I had passed out drunk). There was absolutely no physical stimulation at all. That was a 100% fantasy-induced orgasm (though I can't remember the fantasy, seems unfair). I went back to sleep thinking "what the hell was that?" Not that I'm complaining. Sure, I've woken up aroused before but not actually in the midst of a spontaneous orgasm. And sure, I heard that women could have "wet dreams" too, but it just never happened to me before.

Anyone else with experiences like this? Just trying to get a sense of how common or rare it might be.

Lol! Actually, I only had one martini and something else, a mix of vodka, lemonade and a couple other things, I'm not sure. It hit me because I'm small, don't drink often, hadn't eaten all day, and had only slept 4 hours the night before. I wasn't wasted, but very tired and pleasantly buzzed.

This happened to me once, when I was living out of a tent in the African bush for 2 months last summer. I hadn't had sex in... a long time :lol: and I missed my bf very, very much (we had no contact for most of that time b/c no technology). This has happened to me before too. I was dreaming about having sex and I woke up right as I was at the end of my orgasm. It was definitely a little weird to have an orgasm from absolutely no stimulation.

This morning I woke up right after having two orgasms in my dream. As the last orgasm came to and end, I woke up and my body felt just as it does after having a real orgasm. I felt so relaxed and satisfied!

You know, sometimes I despise my own mind for being so overanalytical and jumpy, since it causes me no end of unnecessary stress. BUT... when I dream like that... I LOVE what my mind does for me. :D

I've had orgasms while dreaming about something sexual too - I'm not absolutely sure they were real but I know that I woke up and felt like I'd just had one. I think they were but I'm not entirely certain. Next time I have to pay more attention. It's cool to see that others have this, I just thought I was weird :p

I have had orgasms while dreaming before too. They've been intense in a different way from a physically stimulated orgasm but resulted in a physical response all the same. It's always been after having had a lot of sex the night or two before and the dream is always a bondage sex type. Though that's 75% of what my sex dreams are anyway. It sure if fun no matter if it's normal, common, or whatever.

well, my situation is a bit different to having one out of my sleep.

I have a similar experience about once a month give or take. Most of the time I'll wake up at the end of a sex dream and be able to fully enjoy the results. :p Like others have said, it's a bit different from an orgasm had during real physical sexual contact, but definently an orgasm regardless. But the point is, you're not odd, and enjoy it! :)

Something similar happens to me from time to time..I'll be having a sexual dream, and I almost have an orgasm during my sleep...but I don't think I've ever fully had one, I always end up frustrated in my dream and when I wake up I can tell that I didn't quite have one. They're still good dreams though :D

i have asked many a female, essentually, the same question and, till now, have found none that could relate.

to be fair, i wouldn't call that a "spontaneous" orgasm, as you were stimulated by a dream. (i would assume a spontaneous one would come out of nowhere :confused: )

i have never had a spontaneous one, but i have had many mild orgasms without any physical stimulation, whatsoever. it has happened when i am largely concentrated on lascivious thoughts. before someone goes thinking i am lucky, it has happened at some very inoppurtune times!
such as in my 8th grade english class & on an airplane (while starring at the back of a man's arm, of all things <_<).
it has been the cause of some pretty embarassing situations.

Well, it sort of happened to me again last night, not quite an orgasm this time, but more like what Medusa is saying. I woke up feeling the beginnings of an orgasm but didn't quite go over the edge. Unfortunately, I was staying at a friend's house on his sofa in a bachelor apt, and I was too sleepy to get up to go to the washroom for privacy, so I couldn't finish myself off manually, if you know what I mean. ;) Though he told me I was moaning in my sleep all night. I see what you're saying, but I think I read somewhere that the "clinical" definition of "spontaneous orgasm" is technically "orgasm without genital contact."

I have had the exact same thing happen, but sober. I was having a hot dream, and then actually came. I woke myself up, it was so hard. Haha.

I just wanted to add, and I don't know if this is true for anyone else, but the "dream orgasms" are different than waking ones. It's almost like a body memory. Like in my mind I am having sex and remembering, bodily, what the orgasms feel like. It's a little weird and, I am finding, hard to verbalize, lol. But the orgasms feel different, less distinct and when I wake up from them, I generally feel the need to masturbate....to "finish." I like them. :p

I've only had the experience once, of dream orgasms, and it was about 20 years ago. It was the most powerful orgasm I ever had in my life and it woke it me from my sleep. The thing is, i never really had an orgasm before that so it was really mind blowing. Funny thing, the sex I was having in the dream was very ordinary, almost dull.
But this got me thinking about the whole concept of Succubi and Incubi, and how in medieval lore it was demons who came to people in their sleep and had sex with them. So we can conclude that this sort of thing is not new, people just put a different spin on it.
Unless of course, I did have sex with a demon and I'm in denial.

I can't believe someone else out there experiences this!! I have started having such intense orgasms when I need to pee badly!! Do you orgasm when you finally release?

I've heard about this phenomenon before but have yet to experience it myself *sigh*

Yeah, I do... When I have a fuller bladder, I orgasm more intensly. I never understood why, and I didn't know others felt like this. I guess I'm not alone! I have never to my knowledge had an orgasm while dreaming. I can give myself an orgasm by opening and closing my legs, but that's it. A purley mental orgasm sounds fun. Hi! I am new here. I wanted to ask a question about this topic. :) I sometimes feel like I am having a spontaneous orgasm when I am under a lot of stress. This feeling is different than when I am orgasming from sexual arousal or stimualtion. When I have an orgasm from sexual arousal and stimulation, it comes after a build up of arousal, where I feel sexual desire and a nice warm, swollen pressure feeling downstairs--then I have an orgasm. Plus, I feel really wet afterwards. :love: With these spontaneous ones in stressful situations, there is no build up of arousal--it is just BAM! I feel the nice contractions feeling. But there is no wetness. It feels nice, maybe it is my body releasing tension from stress, rather than tension from sexual desire. :confused: Has anyone else experienced these "sudden dry orgasms" while under a lot of stress?

I will add, that when I get these sudden, dry orgasms there isn't any real thoughts of sex to bring it on. Confusing...

I'm very happy to read about other women's experiences with this. I have wet dreams if I'm not getting enough sex. And if I AM getting enough, them thinking about it during the day can get me off, especially if I'm sitting on a chair that moves back and forth, like a glider or rocking chair.
