Searching Forums- Avoiding Reposts
Ok...another question.
I have posted several threads on TFP. Each time, before I post, I search the forum to make sure it is not a repost. I know reposts are really irritating to senoir members of this site. (and others too). Of all the posts I have submitted, several HAVE been reposts. A memeber will kindly show me the orginal thread link in a post. This baffles me?? Even thou I searched with all the key words I could think of, it STILL turns into a repost. This is bumming me out and makes me to not want to post new threads. In fact, this too is probably a repost of some sort. Even thou I searched high and low and came back with no results. Can someone point me to the proper way to search? Is there an archive of threads somewhere? Any comments welcome. |
I think it's just becasue the members who have been here for a while tend to remember something from that thread that makes it unique and easier to search for.

Dawson70, if I looked like, and was as mean as your picture looks, I wouldn't worry about it. I say give it a good looking over, and if you don't see anything too closely related...go for it.

LOL...thanks for the posts. |
Not everyone seese everything all the time. If you searched and it's been posted before, it's not your fault. Once you've been around for a long enough time, you'll get to know what kinds of search terms to use, since you'll know how our members tend to talk. Don't let it discourage you. We don't hold it against you, the worst case is that we take a few seconds to close the thread and post a link to the previous one.
