Ours is not to wonder why, ours is just to do or die
I would not consider myself a Newbie here, but I had a question that seemed approiate for this board. I sometimes check my total post count in effort to remind myself to sleep, and as a few mins ago, it read:
335 (2.74 posts per day) But I wanted to find a post I had responded to a while back and clicked on "Search for all posts by this user" and it came back with "Displaying Topics 1 to 40 of 449" does this mean I have posted 449 time but only 335 have counted, or am I missing something here? Are posts that are too short (one or two words)not counted for the "total post count"? I do not hold a considerable amout of stock in the Post Count anyways, I was just curious. Thanks! ~Crack |
Not entirely sure but it's possible that the search is counting when people quote you, ie

mhm, not exactly sure why, but tbh, i wouldn't worry about it too much :)

As SiN stated -- I wouldn't worry about it. A larger number of posts than you already have really does not provide any additional benefits... and as you probably already figured TFP does not revolve around who has the most posts. Not a contest -- just a group of members enjoying each others company.
Take care and enjoy the board. ;) |

Thanks, I really didn't care about the post count, unless there is an "uber Titty Board" that you need 449 posts to view, I was just curious.. Thanks Guys. |

some posts in some places just aren't worth a whole post's worth of posting credit

As Halx said, some posts just don't count. =P
I like to stick my opinion all over and I realize it's generally just babble. That's why I don't care if it doesn't bump the count. ^_^ |
