Hey, I was thinking of donating, and i was wondering what all that money is used for? Is it just maintaing the servers and all of that? Or is there more stuff behind the scenes?

Servers/upgrades/bandwidth.

Oh and the occassional drunken pizza party/orgy in Las Vegas for all the mods/admins.

How long does it take for ones donation to be processed? When do I get "donor" under my name?

It's entirely dependent on when Hal gets it. He also works and has a life outside of TFP, so it may be a few days before it happens, but as long as you provided your user name, it'll get done. Just be patient. :)

i have had a hard time setting up the donation....im not a tard, but for some reason i keep runing into snags.

Paypal isn't a viable option. Right now it's Yahoo or snail mail.

I understand Hal is in the path of the fires. My "donor" staus is no longer important to me.

Its a worthwhile cause, look at how many people are online at once, each of them are sucking up BW, BW costs and somebody has to pay in the end.

Good lord man no! To clarify my point, I meant to say that the "donor" by my name is not important to me. Hal is more important than being recognized as a donor. I gave money by credit card and I will continue to give more each month. If Hal needs help I can dig a little deeper. I believe in contributing wherever and whenever I can to a noble cause. I very much enjoy the TFP and all it's peoples, even those who so wound me.
