Hi guys,

I'm a University student in the UK studying photography. I frequent some lesser known local forums but the attitudes and 'level' of discussions are somewhat jilted.

I programmed an Apple //e to run laboratory equipment for thermodynamics research back in the early 1990s.

Welcome to TFP, iamG!

My first home computer was an Apple //e, (unless you consider the TI 99/4A a computer). I upgraded in order to play Zork from Infocom.

I betcha Daniel_ remembers Zork!

Red beat me to dork mode. My first machine was a TRS-80 (with the membrane keypad), but after that I had a //e.

I had a ZX81 (used the same Z80 chip as the TRS-80).

Also: TI-99/4A is the proper nomenclature on that little piece of trivia:

Glad to see so many Apple fans here! Although I'm just a fan of machines that work, regardless of the badge =D I suppose I just love the look of the old-school Apple logo!
