Hi, Tigerlily. I posted about this when I was new here too, and the basic response I was given was excessive use of smileys is discouraged (Chi, your response is great though :thumbsup:), but if you would like to add smileys that the site doesn't already have, go for it. I'm sure if there is a problem, one of the mods or admins will let you know!

We're an odd sort, in that we like words. I frequent sites with a vast amount of smileys, and they tend to make up the conversation on a lot of topics. I'd like users to converse with more than pixellated moving images.

However, I am not opposed to adding more. If you feel a basic communicative emotion is not represented by our current smilies, I'd be more than happy to add one that is suggested.
