Exactly what I was going to say. A vast amount of the guys in prison are in there for basically making emotion-fueled mistakes and the like. There aren't that many extremely sick freaks like this asshole in there, and when the other cons get their hands on guys like this..... well, yeah, he won't last long.

in alot of prisons now there are seperate sexual offender wings. They aren't being put into GP as much as they used to be put there.

Sometimes cruel and unusual punishment doesn't seem so bad. :( This kind of thing makes me physically ill. Not only to I truly hope there is a hell for these peoples souls to rot for eternity, I hope they are BOTH put into GP, and both get there's... over and over and over again.

Meh, the legal system over here rarely gets it completly right, but i'm glad they handed him the life sentance.

As for him not getting fucked up in prison, if the GP can get at Ian Huntley, they can get at him.

What sort of future will this poor child have now? If he/she isn't
physically damaged for life (hard to imagine otherwise), at what
stage in its life should it be told of this horrific occurance? If at all?...
I'd opt for keeping it from him/her but does it have a right to know?

Death is too good for these people... I say they go to prison, where they should be released to other prisoners and dragged away after being beaten inches from their lives, twice daily.

I really wonder how much trauma will play out through the baby's life because of this? Does a baby of this age have enough of a consciousness as to hold on to an experience like this? My first thoughts would be yes, but does anybody have any information about traumatic experiences at such an early age?

Sadly, there have been a number of infant rape cases reported in my country over the last 6-8 months. The babies all aged < 3 years old, with the youngest reported case I can remember being a 6 week old girl. It sickens me. I'm so ashamed that someone else, another human being could be capable of doing something like this.

In quite a few of the cases, the parents/community of the children got to the rapist before the police did - with one fatality and the rest of them all beaten to within an inch of their lives. I don't feel at all sorry for them.

I don't know how it works in the UK, but over here he'd go to federal prison. Once there, he would have to be under constant surveillance; while in the showers, in the yard, in the gym, in the library, in the cafeteria. All it takes is one opportunity for another prisoner to jam a shiv in his throat and it's goodnight, nurse. And given that just about every prisoner in the institution will want to do it and the guards probably won't be watching too closely...

I'd keep an eye out for the obit. Guys like this always get what's coming to them.

Here in my area, a man was just recently convicted of raping a child who, I believe, was two years old. The mother had been selling her baby to men for sex.

I really didn't want to click on this, but I was hoping to hear that at least there was a statement made that the child suffered very little and was ok, but not even that...

My youngest daughter is just 4.5 mos. old and she's the youngest of three. I am very cautious about who is around my kids, let alone watches them unsupervised. My cousin was here babysitting before she was born, watching my then 5 and 3 yr. olds. I found out her boyfriend was here (she was 16 and he was 19 and her mommy didn't know about him and what I did know was a lie. What's worse is she did it with my other cousins around too...and they were looking at porn on my computer-but no one will name who did it.) you better fucking believe she got the ass reaming of her life. She has only watched my kids in a pinch ONCE more then a year later when that jerk was out of her life (or so we all thought). She was checked up on MANY times in a three hour daytime period let me tell you. As for the other cousins that were here, they were boys (12 and 14) any they are no longer allowed around my kids alone either. They are just to prepubesant and I know how they can be.

My girls know what their private parts are and what to tell people whom they don't know or do know who try to get near them. It really sucks that chastity belts aren't out there, cuz I'd be investing in them right quick! I hate to think that we would have to lower ourselves to that kind of thing, but if it keeps my children safe, then so be it.

As for selling babies for drugs, I am sure that living just outside of detroit that these things happen everyday and it really really freaks me out and makes me want to cry somedays.

Along the lines of Africa, someone posted that having sex with a virgin is what they call a cure...a virgin is one thing, a baby is another and I just can't believe that they don't see this as sick and wrong...either way its fucking sad that they don't get what they need to understand what it is that is killing them and how they are doing nothing but making it worse by trying to 'cure' it their way...

I find this sad on two counts. Firstly that your girls have to be made aware of that kind of thing at their age, and secondly that the state of society is such that you feel it's necessary to do so. I really do wonder about humanity at times.

He'll have the option of going into protective solitary, otherwise he'll be housed in the GP parts of the prison, albeit in the higher security areas. The guards won't want him killed, but it can take a while for them to get to him after a beating... :thumbsup:

The miracle of the plea bargain. She gives them him and gets off light. On the other had he pretty much does have a death sentence. I wouldn't give him long odds on surviving long in prison. From what I understand inmates tend not to care much for pedophiles.

I have only 2 points:
Survival rates of pedos in prison: There was a study done by the feds awhile ago where they went around and asked people that had killed a pedo why they did it. Most said it was for contempt for his crime. Here is the interesting thing, though. Those that gave other reasons didn't even know what thier crime was.
There is a school of thought that views the prison as a less forgiving version of heirarchical darwinism, based on projecting strength. Predators prey on victims weaker than themselves. Pedos choose the weakest victims because they are the weakest type of predator. Pedos cannot project a strength they do not have, and end up being the omega, rather than anywhere close to the alpha. So, in any conflict, they are not very likely to understand how to respond, nor will they have the ability or inclination to respond violently. Thus they are more likely to be a victim when faced with the new social reality the prison environment represents.

Anyone that can bring themselves to do this has to already be pretty fucked up in the head. What is the mother's relationship to this guy? And how can she have left her child in the hands of someone who is so obviously messed up in the head?

This is incredibly sick. I would think that that poor baby girl probably will have some reproductive problems later in life. That bastard deserves to be tortured and then killed. I don't think it's right that the girlfriend got off that light either. She should at least have gotten life. As for the mother of the baby, somehow I believe some things are being left out. How could she not have noticed that something was wrong?

1. What actually happened with your cousin and her boyfriend? You didn't say. You just said "she did it with my other cousins around too".

2. Chastity belts? What the hell are you talking about? Why not just duct-tape your kids to the wall or put them in a cage until they're old enough? That's insane.
