sounds good to me. i maybe able to convince my wife to use our house lol, tho its on main st and dont have too much of a back yard lol

there are plenty of state parks and such around(also hersheypark), i would be up for helping out to get a pa get together going!

EDIT: So right now we have the following people up for a pa get together, correct me if i am wrong or you would like to be added.

Just Jess and Quadro - Feb 17-19 or 24-26 weekends are good.
Abaya and ktspktsp - Feb 17-19 for central pa or Feb 24-26 for philly
Amonkie - Feb 17-19 or 24-26 weekends are good.
Roachboy - Philly no dates
Beefinator - Philly no dates
Quasimojo - Central PA, no dates
Pragma - Needs a ride from DC
Warfrat - Philly or Central pa, no dates.
Hektore - maybe, not sure on location
Supple Cow - maybe, not sure on location
Rhaevyn - maybe, not sure on location
SorryCharlie - Central PA, no dates

I always Liked Pinchot State Park....just something about it.....not crowded, and serene

Little Buffalo State Park not very far from my place, as long as school(not college) is still in session its easy to find a big spot to use if need be.

there also is Knobles and HersheyPark, tho Knobles is alot less crowded and more in the country then HersheyPark.

depending on traffic its less then an hour from my house, i havent been there but i know where it is.

You're near Little Buffalo shortynickel? Wow, Perry County represent! I'm like 5 minutes away from there.

I live about 10 minutes south of Williamsport and go to college about 30 mins down 26 from State College, so as long as it's within an hour or two driving distance of either of those places you can count me in.

Ktspktsp and I are between State College and Philly, so basically anywhere along 76 or its environs would be great. Who's planning this thing?

Shortynickel - did you have any dates in mind? I do not have job/working restrictions at this point, but a ballpark figure might be good to get some feedback. Does Late February or March work for anybody?

I'm in DC (well, College Park Maryland), but would gladly come to a meet if I could get a ride from someone, and assuming that it didn't conflict with school or spring break.

i was thinking late may early june as to not conflict with college schedules. tho feb or march works we will prolly need to find a place that we can do it indoors cause its usually snowy then.

Both Quadro and I would be interested, of course depending on scheduling!

There definitely seems to be enough interest - it may be time to figure out exactly where everybody would be coming from, and come up with a few places that might be in the middle?

I like Feb/March, since in May/June I usually jet out of town pretty quick... not to mention it would be nice to have a late winter break.

I'm open on the dates, but depending on whether it is west/Central PA or closer to Philly, i'd have to factor in more/less driving time.

What about dates in the weekends of Feb 17-19 or 24-26? Valentine's Day falls midweek, so for those of you who wanted to spend the weekend prior with a SO, this won't conflict.

We could probably do Philly on Feb 17-19 or Central PA on 24-26th.

I'm still in the air as I wait to hear about jobs in order to know my exact schedule. The closer to cental PA, the less driving time for me, which cuts it down from about a 7 hour drive to 5 :)

Yes, Quadro should be on the list too, since he goes where I go (assuming he's not rehearsing or something). So... central PA on the 17th-19th, or Philly on the 24th- 26th.

Oh, goodie! Maybe I can get in on the Jess/Quadro ride (wink, wink)... I voted for the 24th-26th because I hope to be playing ultimate winter league finals that weekend. Make me strong, strong maybe for that second weekend and I'll probably know for sure in a week or two.

well the 18th is out for me, especially if we are gonna hold it at my house. we are going out for her birthday/vday, I love red lobster gift certificates. I am still up for the 17 or 19th tho.

I've got training M-F for the weeks before both of those weekends. I may be able to do either, but will need to figure out how long it will take me to drive/fly to where we are meeting.

Good! Well, I don't actually live in Philly and I'm not the one driving me there (quadro & Jess will be responsible for me :p) so maybe you could start another thread, abaya?

So, April 1st or 2nd? that's only the weekend after this one and I don't see too many details hammered out yet. Not to be the 'Negative Nancy' but maybe we should shoot for a date that is a little farther off, for instance around Memorial day(just an example), that way everyone would have plenty of time to figure out how they're getting there, we could get a place confirmed so everyone knows where they're going and that would give us plenty of time to get the word out.

if we do have an official date set my yard is still a good place to have a get together, its not hard to get to as in no back roads lol.
