Do yourself a favor and see the original: The Way Things Go. It is a full half hour of things successively bumping into each other. No soundtrack except for the sounds of the things. Very relaxing to watch.

(You could also consider Rube Goldberg to be the original, but his designs were only on paper.)

Coolest ad I've seen

It's amazing. Just think of how excited the designers must have been to work on this project and try out new parts of the sequence!

simply amazing.....think of the timing that must have took....and probably hours of frustration

Great ad. I saw it a while back here in Japan. It started some sort of craze here as they now have TV shows where people put these types of gadgets together in there homes to...(for example) wake them up in the morning, boil their eggs, turn on the coffee maker etc. Kinda cool...but some of these people have too much time on their hands.

The ad is an award winner though.
Thanks for showing it to me again.

I'm sorry, but am I the only one that thinks some of the 'movements' were computer generated or fake? Take for example, the three tires (with rims) rolling slowly up an incline after just a bump?!?! That just ruined the entire commercial for me after seeing that.

Nope, it is completely possible. You just put a heavy weight inside the rim, just past 12 o'clock. A small push changes the center of gravity, and the wheel rolls uphill, just enough to reach the next obstacle. Everything is real. The only "tweak" is that it was done in two takes, and there's a computer blur where one item is rolling alone on the screen.
