9/24 Denver Get-Together ... Wanna?
 

So.. hanging out in the IRC room , and BS'ing .. It came up that we should have a get together in Denver. I'm game, hvae a big enough house, and can find a babysitter.. :).

I should get my wife in here so she can get to know you all too..

post your thoughts on this and we'll come up with a date etc..

My place is about 15 Min north of Down Town Denver (Where US-36 splits off) , 2 story , lots of PC's and pets..

Hmmm sounds delightful.

Alright silvertiger... you mentioned it which means you have to plan it. Pick the date and time and tell us where to be. Make it a more than a month out so people from out of town can make plans.

September 25th (Sunday) .. it's the only day of the week i ahve off that everyone else would too .. not quite a "party" night .. but still do-able.

Bring what Drinks you want, we'll try and have food/snacks but if you have a particluar munchie or dish you like.. bring it too.

lets say at about 7:00 PM MDT... until we decide we're sick of each other :)

Well, as it stands right now I might be in Cali or on the long drive back...

heh. no guarantee .. im not a massive party animal .. we have computers, cards, consoles, strange people (us) ... and alcohol .. makes for an interesting combo ..

but i guess its all up to what you like to do ..

This is kind of off this subject, but I am from Salt Lake and may be heading to Denver for the System of a Down concert in early October. I was wondering how concerts at the Pepsi Center are.

never been to the pepsi center myself.. can't answer that.

lol .. not to press the point .. but i'm all about computers as i am a geek for a living.. i'm not all that heavy on colsoles but we have them ( and limited game selection)

While you might see me looking at World of Warcraft a bit .. i should be generally available all night long ..

BTW.. The date has been moved to the 24th (saturday) for the sake of all those who work on Monday .. so that you don't have to leave at 9:00 to get some beauty rest.

gimme some ideas of whta you'd like to do .. so I dont end up not preparing well enough ..

I do like Halo, but han't played forever. we have 4 computers in the living room (by the kitchen) but those will be basically in the TFP chat and there will be a webcam up from that pc

Please let me know if you're still game or available on the 24th .. the date change should make it easier .. and it's well within a week ahead of time..

I'm still down for anything. I'd just prefer to drink, eat, and talk. Gaming seems to lend itself to a non-social climate.

good thing i have drinks, food , and hopefully folks .. even if its just me and the wife .. it'll be a good time.

Not even card or board style games? Poker, euchre, hearts, etc.? Those have worked well for me, but hey. I'm fine with drinking and eating and talking. I am not much into noisy chatter, though. I usually clam up if it gets too noisy... after all if I can't understand anything what am I supposed to say? If some people are playing cards that helps keep the noise down. I guess we'll see what happens.

I don't mind games. I've just always been more of an active person. Sitting doesn't agree with me.

Sorry for the negativity. I'm not comfortable saying this but I am tired of going to a party and rarely getting a chance to say something that people will listen to. In my experience, either a handful of people dominate the conversation, or everyone talks and nobody can understand anything. Both situations are useless. Games moderate everyone fairly. We can do drinking games, if you like. I can think of a few that involve standing up. ;)
