Favorite Fast Food?
What's your vice when it comes to fast food? Why?
For me, it's gotta be Burger King. Their fries are simply the best in my opinion. I can't get enough of Burger King. I used to eat it 4 days out of every week. Discuss! |
Taco Bell or Carl's Jr (roughly equivalent to Hardees for you East Coasters). At TB I like their bean burritos and at Carl's Jr I like their Famous Star. Mmm. I might have to stop by there before class...
|
I love me some Taco Bell! I usually get a 7 Layer burrito + steak. Delicious!
|
1) Harvey's Cheeseburger with the works inclduing banana peppers, plus onion rings (real ones that burn your chin if you don't bite through them all the way)
2) Lick's Homeburgers 3) New York Fries with malt vinigar, ketchup & Mayo. 4) Taco Bell's Fries supreme (kind of a tex/mex spin on poutine) |
Wendy's except for the french fries. They have a very short shelf life before going soft.
|
Wendy's was great, but then they left the sunny shores of england after failure, i think people couldn't get used to square meat. So now in the classical sense burger king is the best, how i'm loving the sandwiches from subway or Pret (they btw are so so much better).
Do wendys still do frosty's or whatever they were called, the cross between the shake and icecream. So yummy. |
I dunno what it is but i really like McDonalds cheese burgers. but thats about all I like from there.

Carl's Jr. (they put crack in their bbq sauce, I swear to God), and Taco Bell.
I just want the Super Size me documentary, so Im definitely cutting back...and I don't think I'll even go to McDonald's again. |

Chipotle
Baja Fresh Burrito Beach |
There are not many fast food items I can tolerate, but a rare few I actually do crave at times. Here they are:
Taco Bell crispy burritos (esp. beef) Dairy Queen mud pie Blizzard McDonald's french fries Wendy's Frosty ...aaaand, the absolute top fast food item of all time for me: Jack in the Box's chicken supreme sandwich. Which, sadly, they took off the menu a few years ago. I was very upset, and now I have no reason to eat there. :( |
Hardee's (Carl's Jr.) Thickburgers, cause they're ridiculously good.
|
I like Sonic.
Good onion rings are difficult to come by in the few fast food restaurants around here that have them. And I don't care what's in the chili just slather it on and I'm one happy camper. |
Arby's Roast Beef
Taco Bell |
Wendy's nuggets - ohmygodthesetastesofreakinggood. And they're only $0.99 for 5. Dip them in some honey mustard and I'm in heaven.
|
Harvey's Cheeseburger w/ everything double pickles and a Poutine.... mmmm.
|
I <3 me a Big Mac! I have loved them since I was small... that and mc'donalds' french fries (but who doesn't? I also like the bacon egg and cheese biscut at Mc'd's
Sonic for the fruity beverages Taco Bell for the Nachos Arby's for the cheese sticks and curly fries :) |
If you're talking national or regional chains, it'd have to be Togo's or Baja Fresh. But the real answer is, any good taqueria that serves a decent burrito (one that takes two hands to eat) or a plato especial -- a special plate with a pile of meat (asada, chicken, carnitas, whatever), beans, rice, cheese, guac and sour cream, and lettuce, served with eight or ten small corn tortillas. You make your own tacos.
|
I've always loved Big Macs. It's been so long that I've had one... mmm, I'm hungry now :D
|
A&W their mozzaburger is awesome, and fantastic root beer cola. yum.
|
Del Taco....I love their green burritos. mmmmmmmmmmm
I like McDonald's fries but nothing else from there. I like the spicy chicken sandwich from Wendy's too. |
Lick's has the best everything, but due to money constraints, I will vote for Burger King, as I actually enjoy their hamburgers. I also like McDonalds too though. Nothing other than these three places. No arby's or Wendy's or anything like that.

I prefer to just eat some fruit or yogurt that I have in my fridge. What can possibly be faster than that? I don't even need to get in my car to get it. I would rather not die of a heart attack by the age of 40.
|
Being in the UK here, for me its gotta be Burger King, their burgers are just far tastier than any other fast food 'restaurant' over here, also.. the chips are ectually crispy compared to the soggy mess that is McDs...
|
mcdonalds 99 cent double cheeseburger.
99 cents and it's ready in 2 seconds! i am a sucker for this snack inbetween meals. i've read fast food nation and still, i eat. and for a dollar, KFC's chicken snackers are nice too. |

i just have to vote for KFC...
their chicken is simply the best!!! |
Baja Fresh is really good, although I'm not sure I would consider that 100% Fast Food....it's cooked right there in front of you...not pre-packaged and sitting on heated surfaces...but...um...it's served relatively fast?
I generally try not to eat "real" fast food, but I guess if I had no other choice (you know...sometimes on road trips you're starving and the only things around are a wendys, mcdonalds and taco bell....), it would be taco bell. |
My votes go to Chipotle and Rally's
|
All 3! Mcdonalds for the Big Mac, Burger King for the fries, and Wendys for the frosty to dip the fries in!
|
My local fish n chip shop. Great food and good prices YUM
|
We don't have Taco Bell in Quebec, due to language laws. Here, my favorite fast-food places are Subway, Burger King, Wendy's and Harvey's.
However, when I'm in W.Va., it's Taco Bell every day pretty much! Their fiesta potatoes rock my socks. |
It's all about Carl's Junior. Cheap and filling, just the way I like it.
|
Here in Portugal, I looove Joshua's Pita Shoarma, they have the best Shoarma Pitta with fries and garlic sauce....mmmm hits the spot
|

mmmmmmm I am now OFFICIALLY going there for lunch! |

dammit Cellophanedeity! you ruined my Harvey's plan for Lunch. I think there's a Lick's near Kennedy & Ellesmere (drooling) |
I'd say for me it's sushi/sashimi and related asian foods. Very fast, you don't even have to cook most of it and a good chef can whip together a nice roll or other concoction faster than you can say "McDonalds and similar foods are generally not very good for you". But I eat those too by the way ;) and love a good burger or steak.
A European slant to my favorite is raw herring (with chopped onion) that was caught a few hours before consumption, which is possible and popular in the Netherlands and local areas. |
Over here it's a place called Cheers Pizza.
They do an 18" pizza that is so unbelievably delicious, and only £9.99. I've ordered from them so much they know the house and my name just from what i put on my pizza :D |

Fast food is shite wrapped up. |
I love Arby's and Roy Rogers' food but they are both a haul to get to from where I live so I dont get to eat there too often.
|
I really miss the old McDonald's apple pies! Waaaaay back, they use to be deep fried! Mmmmm, yummy. I also loved their dark-meat chicken nuggets! RIP.
*moment of silence please* What happened Ronald?! Damn this health conscious society! |
Chic-Fil-A. Hands down. No questions. Period.
|
Wendy's!!! I like McDonald's fries a lot but I don't like their burgers. Burger King is just disgusting to me (I hate their fries most of all). Wendy's has the best burgers period and fries that are just as good as McDonald's. I do like Taco Bell a lot but I figured I'd vote one of the three!

I don't eat fast food much, but when I do, I go to Jimmy John's (smaller chain sandwich place)

youmean rollmops? i love those. especially with sour cream. But I thought that they were slightly pickled... |

Wendy's for the fries - I like 'em thick ;)
They also used to have pita sandwiches that were kick ass. Fast food is hard for a vegetarian. Burger King actually HAS a veggieburger but it has an average flavor and is very salty. McDonald's is really bad for veggie people, so are Rally's and Checker's. bleh |
I said other. I like Taco Bell.

Eating a salted herring out at Zandvoort is the litmus test my cousins and I all had to pass when we visited my uncle in order to prove we were Dutch. I was the only one who enjoyed it. :) Unfortunately, there's only one market I've found in OR that sells salted herring. |
I vote for Burger King, XL Bacon Bouble Cheesburger. mmmmmmmmmm.......
You can still taste it when you burp about 5 hours later! |
I love Carl's Jr. Their burgers are so big and so good.
|
taco bell - hands down
|
Burger King's fries are definitely the best.
|
The rare and hard to find Arby-Q; Fast food's answer to a beef brisket or pulled pork sandwich. So far, the only Canadian location I've been able to find that sells it is in Oakville. Anywhere else and I just get a confused expression from the counter person for asking.
Also, Arby's makes restaurant quality Mozza-Sticks. Way better than Burger Kings limp excuse for fried cheese. Mmm; Fried Cheese! |
Harvey's has the only burgers that I can believe are real food.
I like my burgers the way I like my women, big and juicy. (Not really, but I just had to say it.) I do like my burgers though. Yum. |
Quizno's bourbon chicken sub
Arby's Beef and Cheddar and Jamocha Shake Taco Bell Double Decker Taco Supreme and Beef and Potato Burrito |
Almost forgot Yesterdog...Best damn kraut dogs...local establishment...but it's a gut bustin' slice of heaven.
|
Oh, I almost forgot about Costco's food court. Not exactly a drive-thru establishment, but fast service and super-cheap. I love being able to pay $1.50 for a hot dog and a soda. Sometimes we go to Costco just for a hot dog.
|
KFC's chicken wraps and nuggets... mmmmmmm
|
In North America I like Wendy's (and my Niece works for them in BC), but I can't quite _put my finger_ on why they failed in the UK.....
Anyway - I love my local independant burger chain (five stores, all food grilled to order). Plus the Chinese Take Away. And the Pizza joint. And the Indian. And the Fish and Chip shop. Well - I'm just a fat bastard really.... :D |
kfc for me!!!! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm extra crispy breasts!
|
hmm...i've never heard of 'Togo's' or 'Baja Fresh.' We don't have any of those near Cleveland at all. Same with Hardee's and Carl JR's.
As for fav's places that we do have, I'd probably choose Wendy's, Arby's, or Subway. The Wendy's is pretty cool, since it was literally right across from my high school, and it was the only place off campus we were allowed to go to. Lines during the lunch periods were usually 30 minutes or so...No wonder it was the highest grossing wendy's in all of ohio, so I heard  After reading fast-food nation, I cut back on my fast-food consumption, and only eat it about once a month or every two months. Since then, I haven't had a burger at mcdonald's either - although their sundaes and milkshakes [especially their 'shamrock' one] are tempting  French fries ? I don't know if it's just me, then, but I honestly don't care for them. I rather eat a baked potato or hash brown patties instead. catcha back on the flipside, keyshawn |

I wonder if what I had was salted, could be but I'm not sure since it didn't taste salty in the least, just very tender buttery smooth fresh herring, nothing on it but some chopped raw onion on the side. I had it almsot every day I was there but I like that kind of stuff. Last night for a light dinner snack since I had a big lunch, I had a pickled herring fillet in cream at a good local deli, along with lettuce, tomatoe, onion, olives; as much as I like that, it's nothing like the herring in the Netherlands. |

that picture of herring is so completely different from what I was thinking of. Here, we just buy them in a jar, similar to a pickle jar. They are usually pieces, or rolled up filets and floating in pickling juice with onions etc. We just fish (haha) them out and put them on a plate with sour cream to eat. I guess they are called rollmops because they are all rolled up if they are whole filets...
