Landed my internship! woohoo!
Well, after a rather rigorous interview process (three interviews, two rounds of testing), I landed the internship I decided I wanted for this summer. Debuting in the Dallas area, for only a few short months will be Rat. I'll be interning with Sewell Infiniti, working for one of the premier delarships in the nation. This company is renowned for its phenomenal customer service (something I hope to learn alot about) along with their rather unique corporate culture. It pays fairly well ($10/hr, minimum 50 hrs/wk), and I meshed extremely well with the staff, managers, techs and salespeople I've met. I really can't wait for the end of the semester and the beginning of this internship.
I'm tentatively planning a get-together at my apartment (when I get it) for any TFPers in the Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas areas. If you're interested, let me know in this thread or via PM, and as the summer coalesces, I'll firm up the plan and we'll have a shindig! -Rat Edit: This will be in the Dallas area, so any Dallas TFPers, drop me a line sometime in late May or early June and we'll meet up! |
first to be able to congratulate you! w00t!

Double w00t - congrats... sounds like a great opportunity.. enjoy it.
|
congrats, but can you explain what internship means? and what is Rat? I thought that internship meant that you work for free, to get a toe hold/experience in a field including future consideration for hire (it's free HR & on the job training for the company). But if you get $10/hr that's not too shabby for entry level.

congrats!!!

Congrats Rat :) Hope it is all you dreamed of! Sounds exciting for sure. I love starting at a new place and getting to meet all new people. Getting paid for it is even better :) Good luck!
