asian sesame peanut candy - help!
Last time I was in LA my friend Valerie gave me a huge bag of something like sesame snaps:
http://www.candysconfections.com/140...mecrunchlg.jpg only they had peanuts and some black stuff (molasses?) in them. They were individually wrapped. I've been CRAVING them lately but I can't find them anywhere. I've done google searches for all variations of sesame peanut candy, sesame crunch, etc., and can't seem to find just the right thing. Does anybody know what these are called and where I can find them? |
I'd start lurking around the Asian markets. I know the candy you mean and I have seen them in markets here before (by 'here' I mean Calgary).
But I am sure most major cities must have Asian Supermarkets by now. |
I find them in almost all the corner stores here. But if you go to a viet or chinese supermarket (there are scads of them) there's a greater selection. some are black coloured, some brown, and individually wrapped. tastey and fattening!

Hrm...I think the nearest Asian market is in Greensboro. We used to have one around the corner but they closed. I'll go hunting. Thanks!
