Ad mistakes.

I always loved it when an online company screwed up their prices, and you got a product very cheap. Problem is, is that there is one of me, and too many sites for me to visit in my lifetime. So, I am proposing a thread (this one), where if you find a unusually good deal, or mistake, that you post the link for it here. If its an American site, I think they need to honor the price. Well, happy hunting!

I remember something local... Toys R Us advertized the Star Wars 2 DVD for the VHS price, 9.99, and then Circuit City had the price match guarantee, so they had to deduct 150% of the price difference from their stock when people brought in that ad.

I didn't go for it, but my buddy did and he got like 3 to sell on ebay.

A couple years back Amazon had an offer for 256 Megs of ram for $14 (should have been $140). So my friend and I both ordered 10 of them to resell on ebay. But Amazon noticed the error and cancelled our orders. They gave us $10 Amazon Gift certificates to say they were sorry.

That is the problem. If there is an error they correct it pretty quickly or refuse to honor it at all.

I remember something like that. I am pretty sure it was a differn't event though. It had 256 megs of ram for like $9.99 (this was when they were still aleast well over $100) and had like 512 megs for either $9.99 as well or maybe for like $19.99. As I recall they refused to honor that as well.

Too bad it's over, and I don't live there.
