Shopping for LINGERIE
 

I need some help.

I want to buy my wife some new lingerie for Valentines Day. But, I can't seem to find anything I really like. I have been to several of the more well known mainstream sites like Victoria's Secret & Frederick's of Hollywood, and even some not so well known sites. My wife and I are into watching Pron together, and I always see really cool outfits on the girls in the videos, but, I don't know where to get them.

Can anyone make any suggestions of where to find some really cool/different lingerie. I'm not really looking for super kinky, bondage, fetish type stuff, just different.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

You really have to make sure you get the kind of stuff she likes. My girlfriend pointed out recently that just as she can't be me computer stuff because she has no idea what is useful and what isn't, I can't really buy her underwear, because I have no idea what works for her. She has since informed me, and I think she can guess what sort of gifts she'll be getting...

Fredericks is kinda trashy looking, and is honestly, not all that high quality stuff... (it's also itchy) VS is quite mainstream and nothing special... For a special gift you'd want to get her something she wouldn't buy herself.

If price isn't an object... La Perla (sold at neiman Marcus and better department stores, and well as La perla boutiques (www.eluxury.com does sell it as well) has some beautiful pieces of lingerie that are sure to get you some thanks.

What are you looking for -- bra/panty sets, teddys, corsets, nighties...

he mentioned that he and his wife watch porn together... but i'm not sure what kind of porn they watch. i would agree that la perla makes some very nice stuff (not to mention that eluxury is a very good site for things on the high end).

are there adult toy/video stores anywhere near you? some locations may have some lingerie up your alley.
another avenue to try may be a local strip club... in some areas (or in the clubs themselves) are shops that the strippers visit.

as maleficent wrote, what are you looking for? something for her to wear for a short time and then tear off, or something for her to feel sexy in all day?

Didn't mean to offend anyone if I did, that was just the 'wisdom' some guys seem to pass around.

As a husband who has shopped for lingerie, I'd advise you to feel the fabric and buy what feels the best. Polyester has come a long way and cotton is no longer the softest.

I have to argue with this.....I buy my "good" lingerie exclusivley from fredericks and have for years (because they sell the things I want in the size I need)...yes some of it is trashy (thats the point) but a lot of it is also sweetly feminine and every piece I own, even though its been worn MANY times over the years still looks almost brand new....

I just started getting a few pieces--I looked but didn't see anything in the sotres that I would like. So I started by dropping hits to see what might interest him.
So I bought a corsett that I thought was pretty tasteful and one copper shelf bra. The bra was a hit--but the corsett, well I shocked him. He has asked to see it on again.

I had the same problem years ago when shopping for my SO.
The "good stuff" is expensive but well worth it. Most of these companies are Parisian or English. I've found them online but they can be found at some "non-chain" lingerie shops out there.

Classy but pricey lingerie...highly sexy...and exceptionally stylish.

If you've got a Nordstroms or another upmarket department store in your area, go there and browse. They have good bra and panty sets as well as good nighties--again, classy.

I've learned from experance that if you want to buy lingerie from her, Take her with you. make a date out of it. go from store to storte. mall to mall. Let her pick it out. The time you two spent together will be a great present from both of you. And the lingerie will be a great reward for you ;)
