Think about it.

Reason I ask, I've been having this recurring dream where I drown somewhere in the middle of the ocean. It's odd because at first I'm kicking and fighting it, but as I'm sinking suddenly a feeling of content washes over me. It's like I suddenly realise my time has come, and I can feel myself fading away as I'm sucked into the deep.

Although in reality it is apparently quite painful.

I picked falling - and not very far either like maybe 6 inches. Those other choices will kill ya'!

I picked other, just let me go in my sleep thats all I ask for...
Those others just seem brutal ways to go... I've heard if you fall a long distance most people are likely to have a heart attack before they hit the ground and die of that, can anyone prove this?

I picked other.. I want to die right after I have great sex.. so I can be really happy

Among the choices given, thermonuclear explosion. If your close enough, the X-rays will just explode all your cells in less that a microsecond. You won't even have time to realize you're dead.

I contemplated this a long time ago, I think the best way to die is just to fall astleep & never wake up. ITs not messy or painfull. Just sweet sweet slumber for ever & ever. Im not afraid to die or of pain (Ok, to an extent, dont hit me with a bottle just coz I said Im not afraid of pain)

but If I had a choice - Sleep.

I picked The explosion..... it will kill my neighbors too.... and i hate them all!!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Other. Immolation. If I have to die, it might as well be as painful as possible, plus it'll be a nice segue into the afterlife, if you know what I mean.

Thermonuclear explosion but that's only assuming the gama ray vaporize me within micro seconds. If not.. i actually written a paper on gama ray's effect on human's body. Either: Destroy your intestinal (sp) lining and you will die of diaria or send a havoc of electron through your nerve system giving a coma which results in death within 5 hours. Or destroy your immune system whcih results in death within a month without treatment.... i prefer vaporization... that's just me. Some people may like massive diaria (?)

I've always had a close relationship with death and I think it's not at all what it's commonly thought to be. Neither is "life".
That being said, I welcome the character of the actual moment I am considered dead by other people - whatever form it takes.

dying in my sleep sounds uncomfortable. don't you guys realize you'd prolly be having one helluva nightmare?

I would have to vote for the guilletine still...supposedly you can see and hear and stuff for 12 whole seconds if it cuts fast enough...

Other than that drowning...I have heard from near death experiences that you just go numb and kinda get a high feeling...

guys.... you don't wanna die by drowning. i've almost drowned by my own lungs a couple of times.. it is horrible

Definently Thermonuclear Explosion. Of all the options, it would be the quickest and least painful. All the others have some degree of suffering before you die. I'd rather go out without pain, just my opinion. :)

OH blasted... i forgot. Gama ray can also mutate your cell. :)

picture this: having had the Tommie's for lunch, you run to the nearest public bathroom you find, hit the door of the bathroom stall, and let 'er rip. seconds later, you realize theres no TP. before you can even THINK about using your shirt, BOOOOOM. see, no worries.

but the nuclear thing is my choice if i had to choose. if we all have to die then an all out nuclear war would probly be the easiest, but unfortuantely it could happen

yeah, drowning is about the most painful way to go. you choke and your lungs burn, and the feeling of suffocation ALONE suck major ass.

The thing about falling is kinda true. Some people will experience a heart attack as a result of the fear induced by the act of falling, especially if you know you're not going to survive it. I have also read about people choking on their own vomit and dying. They usually were falling facing down, and the freefall did not allow them to expel the vomit, the air pressure caused it to stay in and they choked on it. That would suck.

I've dreamed of falling to my death a number of times and it's not too unenjoyable. I think I could live with it.

Drowning and starving to death (being left to die someplace with no water or anything) are my two biggest fears of dying.

I have a question about the dying in your sleep theory. So you die in your sleep say while you're dreaming right, So do you any of you guys think there would be a difference between the dreams and dying? Like, would you know? Or like it was said above would you have a nightmare before you die?

This thread creates more questions for me than answers...

I don't dream, and if I didn't i've never had one I remembered when I woke up. So any time of dreaming experiance wouldn't matter, I'd be dead soon anyway.


Also, some older people that I've actually seen pass seem to die in there sleep. Their heart skips a beat, they exhale and it just seems to be all over. No mess, no screaming in fear or pain, just nothing.

I want to get completely blitzed then walk out naked in the snow. Fall asleep nice and warm., slowly die (while sleeping) of hypothermia.

Interesting. If I were to die in a nuclear explosion, I wouldn't like to be in the very epicenter because, y'know, I'd never know what hit me. I honestly would rather be a mile or two away, and have a few seconds to see the blast before the shockwave shatters my bones and makes my veins burst.

War = bad, of course, but if there ever is a nuclear war I'd like to see it with my own eyes.
