I don't really know what I'd do if that were to happen to me. I'm surprised nobody else helped, but again it would be hard to say what I'd do if I were even there. If I were in the car behind her, I'd run his ass over, I think.

But anyway. Fucking scary. Why would a person feel the need to prove himself like that? Doesn't he realize he's only making it worse on himself? Not only legally, where he will get absolutely fucked in the ass, but in general. That shit comes back to you. God. I don't even know what to think about him.

He would be squished under the car if that was me driving. I would just say that I feared for my life. Do you think anyone around would disagree that the guy was crazy and would hurt someone? After the back window, I'd put it in reverse and make sure he was in the way. What an idiot! I can't stand people like that.

Absolutely no question. I have no problems with unleashing a little violence in self-defense and that's exactly what this fellow should have done. As soon as that crazy fuck was in line of sight a sharp rap on the gas pedal would've put an end to his little tirade.

I can't imagine why the 5 cars around him didn't do anything to help stop this guy.

The others around may not have been able to do anything. I was in a similar situation once beside a woman at a red light and the man in the car behind her got out with a baseball bat. He was cussing at her through the window to get out.

I had my two little boys in the car and couldn't really do anything to help. The funny thing was that two cars behind the jerk yelling and cussing was a cop car. They saw the whole thing. Last thing I saw was two cops guns drawn telling the guy to drop the bat. The cops are actually in the right place at the right time occasionally.

What the hell was the person stalling for in the car, anyways? Even if they didn't run him over, they could have easily sped away so they could avoid less damage and report it.

This is why I keep a baseball bat in my backseat. I once knew a kid who got cut off by two guys in a pickup so he honked and flipped them off, at the next light they got out of their truck, pulled him out of his car and beat him literally within inches of his life. Other cars just drove by, no one did a thing to stop it or help.

And yes, I would have probably ran that guy over first chance I got.

Most of what he's saying is about what he's been through in order to survive - he's sold drugs, robbed people, blah blah blah.

I'd be angry if I were in the PT Cruiser but I found the entire video to be hilarious.

I wonder how many other members of his gang were there. There was at least one with the camera. That may be why no one took a more agressive stand in defense.

If that guy approached a cop with a weapon like that he would have more holes in him then anyone would care to count. Had I been in the car in front of the PT, I would have reversed and pinned him between two bumpers. If the guy whose car got hit had been armed, shot the attacker, and claimed self-defense, then been tried with me as a jury member, I would have voted to acquit.

Well, I can understand his hatred of the PT Cruiser as it is just a glorified Neon, but I'm not sure I would have tried to destroy one to prove my point. I feel this is another instance of our public schools letting society down. If this gentleman was given the verbal and written skills as a youth, perhaps he could have written a letter to Dodge or even J.D. Power and Associates to exude his distaste for the vehicle.

As for my solution, if I were the driver, I think one warning shot and then five to his torso would remedy the situation.

You'd be glad he didn't pick your car for his rampage. Besides, getting out, pulling out your gun from the glove compartment or wherever you keep it, acquiring a proper sight picture and shooting a lethal three round burst into the chest of a crazy, skinny black man rampaging around with a baseball bat: it's fiction. He'll be all over your ass before you can even realize you're shooting at an innocent passerby because this is not the safe, controlled environment of the shooting range with paper targets tacked to a wall 30 feet away and you're actually scared shitless.

In Sydney I came across a couple of guys bashing someone. I attacked them and one of them ran away. The other one I left lying on the ground, bleeding badly. Fuck I felt good! Took the original victim to the hospital.

The human mind isn't able to rationalize like that in the heat of the moment now matter how calm you think you may be! You get some guy smashing your car with a bat, the adrenaline goes off. Your natural instinct of "danger" triggers.. how the heck do you know if he plans on comin after your next or not?

So if it was staged, why? For whom? For what purpose? Seems like a great way to convince people that the world is becoming a more dangerous place and that they should start carrying some 'personal protection'.

And, if it was indeed staged in what seems to be a quite uncontrolled environment, it's indeed remarkable that some other 'helpful motorist' didn't ventilate him.

That was exactly my point. When faced with danger my instinct is to run, not attack. It would take a cooler head to even remember there was a gun in the car, much less aim carefully and hit what you shoot at without getting a bat broken over your skull because in the heat of the excitement you forgot to flip the safety off.

I admit that the "throwing away my soul" was a little over-dramatic. What I meant by that was I think that if I took someone's life I would have trouble sleeping, eating, looking into a mirror, laughing, or enjoying anything for a long, long time. In short, it would fuck up my life a lot more than losing a car or any other of the "precious items" I currently or will ever own.
