My jaw is dropped: Tornadoes/Supercell photos
I found this site a little earlier: This guy is a bit of a storm chaser in the midwest. Even more than that, he has a real eye for photography. There are some incredible shots--the sheer power of Mother Nature is incredible. I think if I saw some of these storms heading my way, I would turn around and run very quickly the other way.

Oh... My... God... These pictures are beautiful. If there was anything I've ever wanted to do though that might be considered dangerous and involving the weather, is go Tornado chasing. By myself, of course, it costs a bundle to go with some "trained" chasers. Nature at its finest! |
Nature's power is truly awe-inspiring. It sucks that lots of people probably suffered lots of property damage during these events, they probably don't think that these pictures are quite as beautiful as we do.
I've observed waterspouts at sea, seen huge storm formations in the distance, ridden through storms at sea that tossed a 90,000 ton aircraft carrier around like a bathtub toy, witnessed the beauty of sunsets over an ocean's horizon that stretches to infinity, and looked up into the clearest sky to count more stars in ten seconds than I ever could back home in New York. I wished I had pictures of them like this guy makes. -Mikey |

Wow. Great site. I have a thing for storm photography. My place is decorated in with a ton of lightning shots.
I ordered 3 pics from this guy. |
SONOFABITCH!! I know that kid!! I used to work with his dad, Bob Hollingshead, about ten years ago. I remember him saying that Mike wanted to be a storm chaser. Glad to see that he's doing it.
Ah...springtime in Nebraska. As devastating as these bastards are...they are beautiful. Nature's way of saying "Fuck you, you insignificant people, I'm still in charge here. |
pretty cool website, all the pics are amazing

Amazing pictures, I have always wanted to see a tornado or a hurricane. Living in San Diego makes me miss out on exciting weather. It is kinda funny to see people freak out about a flash flood warning, considering that is the worst weather we ever get...
