Just a question to those who've seen it:

Does it follow on faithfully from the first film?
i.e. does it give a suitable explanation for why Neo gets involved in fights, when at the end of the last one he found that he could change the Matrix himself and thus had no need to?

Just to let you know, in the first episode, he doesnt change the MATRIX at all.. And YES, it follows faithfully...

Supposedly, the Matrix 3 trailer is featured after the credits of Matrix 2 -- so don't hurry out of the theatre like lemmings.

What the hell did you people do, go to a midnight showing?? I'm planning to get my tickets for this evening while I'm out at lunch.

I usually do stay. After all, you can miss things if you leave. What happens, for instance, at the very end of the credits for Star Wars ep 1? Ditto, what happens at the end of the credits for Harry Potter 2?

So start with with the SPOILERS! label. We'll join in after we see the movie.

I would go but the local theater is sold out till tomorrow. To bad we only have one theater in this town showing the movie :(

And does the movie leave any plot holes meaning we have to wait till the 3rd movie to fully understand whats going on?

God point, that. It is my experience that more hype = less substance. I am, however, hoping to proven brutally wrong in this instance as Mrs. O'Rights and I plan on seeing it this weekend. :D

If the lack of press is what you enjoyed most about the first Matrix, then I think you missed out on a lot of the movie. Even if it was hyped like crazy, it would have been great.

Hype != Bad Movie.

Yes, I went to a midnight (10:10 actually) showing.

And, yes, it leaves MAJOR holes and unanswered questions. I really don't see why anyone would be upset about that though - it's not like you're planning on not seeing the third movie.

Saw it last night - fucking incredible. Hype or no hype, I really, really enjoyed this movie. Seeing it again today :)

Not really upset, it just feels better when i'm wondering why the hell did he do that and then have to wait 2 months to find out, still all in all it sounds like its gonna be great fun to see when i can finally get a ticket.....

Got my ticket. They've really greased this. I ordered it over the phone. When I got to the theater to pick it up at lunch time (for a 20:00 show), there was one person in line :) but I still went to one of the machines. Two screen touches later and a credit card insertion, and I had my ticket and receipts. Doesn't get better than that!

IF I didn't have a course project due tomorrow + homework for an impending stats test due in a couple of hours I would have stayed and watched Matrix back to back. That fucking rocked.

Just got home a bit ago from seeing it and it fucking rocked!
I'm going again next week to see it. :D

hmm, Good movie, acting was a bit choppy, and the CG a bit dodgy, especially for todays day and age. (that could be because i saw it on a HUGE screen... the biggest ive seen thats not IMAX)..


Buut - Would i pay money to watch it again?

i saw it today and it does fuckin rock!

Went this weekend. Loved it. But I'm waiting to see what the 3rd one is like. My rating of this one really is going to depend on how well it ties the two together. It takes a lot of concentration sometimes during the conversations. If you happen to talk to your friends then you'll miss a lot. Well done I would say.

If you talk to your friends during Matrix Reloaded you deserve to be shot.
