Thanks, a little more research confirms your dates. Don't know where I got that, I was probably too concerned with the fact that they surely either knew, or knew of each other.

Is this one of those oxymoronic sayings? Isn't following your morals and doing right the same?

I guess it's supposed to be one of those "ironic" statements. Kind of like Wilde's assertion that a cynic is a man who knows the cost of everthing, but the value of nothing.
