Labor Day

Who is celebrating this holiday today? I'm celebrating by enjoying the fact I actually have a job to come into! Not having to go to school is a plus also.

I'm celebrating by....um....WORKING!

:(

adam 09-06-2004 08:23 AM

We're having my nephew over (he's in college nearby).

saut 09-06-2004 08:25 AM

Also celebrating by working. Damnit.

yakimushi 09-06-2004 08:45 AM

I have the day off, but I'm not getting paid for it.

But I'm actually working though, since I need to design a website for my brother by tonight, as well as a few dummy sites for my portfolio, as I am applying for a job tomorrow.

Oh well. Better to sit at my computer than the computer at work.

Sign me up for the "Celebrating Labor Day At Work" club.

Its such a pain to find a decent non-fast-food lunch today too.. all the usual places are closed. Bah humbug.

Heh come to The Coast Gaurd House, the resturaunt I work at nefir :)

This whole weekend has sucked, it being labor day weekend and all, but after tonight the summer buisness really starts to die down.

Well, consider me there in spirit. Midtown Manhattan is quite a ways away from Rhode Island :D

Thankfully I am now eating a chicken salad wrap with swiss cheese, and will not go hungry on this day. Bless you, Brooklyn Bagel. Bless you.

I am celebrating by sitting around doing nothing, I havent been able to do this in a couple weeks.

At some point I'll do some homework though.

CinnamonGirl 09-06-2004 11:16 AM

Also sitting around, not doing anything (and I get paid for doing it! woo!) We talked about going to the aquarium, but I think we slept a little late for that...

Y2KDREAD 09-06-2004 08:56 PM

do you count going to class as celebrating? Because if it is, I had a very fun day

KellyC 09-06-2004 10:45 PM

I didn't even realize it until 5 pm today...oh well. Put me down under the "not caring, not doing anything" category.

bermuDa 09-06-2004 10:51 PM

labor day schmabor day, what a dumb day,
to hire some jerk then send him away,
to celebrate work by playing all day
-garfield

I was going to float down the river with the rest of the city, but the plans fell through. I ended up doing homework and rock climbing... not too shabby though.

Manic_Skafe 09-07-2004 12:29 AM

I was lucky enough to spend my Labor day working one of the most busy days of year at my job - atleast there's holiday pay.
