columbia crest merlot... it from washington state. after mount saint helens erupted, it unleashed ash all over the state which enriched the soil. It has it's own distinct flavor.

Columbia Crest is a brilliant winery. How anyone can make 1.2 million bottles of great merlot??? Too bad they are owned by a tobacco company :(
Another good Washington state winery is Bookwalter. |
