what the hell is a troll?
 

ive been reading the doom 3 gamefaqs message boards lately and they keep calling each other a troll. what the hell is a troll?

ive read "troll" in other forums also but i never got what it meant.

A troll is someone who makes an outrageous and/or offensive statement for the sole purpose of stimulating anger in people.

a troll is someone who goes around to various messageboards "trolling" around making comments just to start arguements with members of the communities

This place is pretty good since they don't tolerate blatant trolling however if your not to offensive and are witty enough in your wording you can get away with it. Bet the mods enjoy it from time to time too.

He has put the troll stamp on several threads, and seems to have a good nose for those smelly, green monsters.

Search for "troll" and see what comes up in the politics forum. Many of the troll-infested threads have been locked in order to prevent the trolls from propogating, and you can also find many of these threads by looking for the locked thread icon in politics (http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/images/...lockfolder.gif)

A troll is a nasty, ugly, mean creature who hides under bridges and eats small children and kittens.

no, i didn't make that. i just had my picture taken with it when i was in Wisconsin for my sisters college graduation. it was in front of a Scandanavian store. i love trolls. :-) real ones that is.

did no one else notice where that corkscrew was :O

That Scandanavian store could be in my hometown (just west of Madison, WI). They have had one like that out front for years.
