Ustabe -- technical writer, 20 years, everything from mainframe apps to word processing how to install a 200-pound rack server without the rack toppling forward and crushing your skull (not that any of you CEs every READ THE F*CKING INSTALLATION MANUAL!)

Just finished -- grad school, in an MA Education/teaching credential program.

Upcoming -- either an elementary school teaching job in the next week or two, or the Wonderful World of Substitute Teaching for a year or so. I'm not complaining -- yeah I am, subbing's not great, but I'll see a lot of local schools and maybe get my food in the door.

I work at a dealership in the parts department. We sell Nissan, Saab, Volkswagen, and Audi. Been here for a little over two years, and it's fun, mostly. There are day, but what job doesn't have those? It's nice in that it isn't a long drive, and the people are usually pretty decent to work with.

cameroncrazy822 10-12-2004 05:03 AM

I'm a cancer research hump (Study Coordinator) at Johns Hopkins. Matthew330 is as well. Glorified secretaries one step above the domestic staff (nothing wrong with the domestic staff). I play the lotto regularly and try to keep all ropes and sharp objects just out of arms reach. I am grateful for having a job though; even if the day to day work is bland, monotonous, and mind numbing. A noble cause though. My true calling is to be a QC Taste Test Manager for a lesbian brothel. One can only dream....

Squishor 10-12-2004 10:20 AM

I work for a P.I. doing insurance investigation. Basically that means I ask strangers way too many personal questions and take a lot of pictures. Then I ask them to sign stuff. In between I drive hundreds of miles, stay in motels and eat strange unwholesome food. Then I go to my office, look up stuff on databases, and write a report.

vwmoose: Do we do the same thing? I do AOE/COE, subrogation, etc.
