Actually, it looks to me like they are used simultaneously...sometimes people say Oceania and sometimes people say Australia. My atlas says Oceania. I think Oceania is better because saying Australia kind of ignores the existance of the other islands around Australia...I mean...they don't call Europe "Russia" because Russia takes up a good portion of the continent...so why should they call New Zealand Australia because Australia is bigger?

Eh....I guess it doesn't matter that much.
