That's so cute. I love kittens. If it wasn't for the extra money I would get another, and another. Plus I think hubby would freak. He's grown to love Catrina but another one? I think he'd draw the line before the second.
As for bathing? I started that out right away. She was ok with it to begin with. The last (and I do mean LAST) time I bathed her she ripped my wrists open and she doesn't even have any claws. I love the colorings on Boostie. Soooo cute. Glad she's settling in.

Awesome thread.
We have a similar problem with our cat, but our is really old. He is 14years old and is losing weight and not eating much. Maybe he is just getting old. Any hints and tips for older cats?

so, Miyagi's fine last night, I wake up this morning, and can't find him. Anywhere. He isn't coming when I call him, which is strange for him, and he's not playing hide and seek with me. I find him laying on the floor at the foot of the bed... immobile. I thought I'd stepped on him or something. I found the closest vet, took him there, and they said it was Fading Kitten Syndrome, something totally out of my control, and nothing she could do could make him stick around.... so my kitty isn't gonna need to be fed anymore *cries*

Fading Kitten Syndrome???? Time for a bit o' the Google. This doesn't sound right. Is Miyagi still alive, or did he die??
(edit) OTOH, this sounds like what you described, I guess. I'm sorry this happened to your kitten. Time to try again? Last edited by denim; 06-18-2004 at 11:21 AM.. |

I don't want another cat. My friend offered to bring over the one I gave her, and I just can't do it.
The paper they gave me says Feline Panleukopenia . At this point, I don't care. He's gone. $74 to put him down. And they were kind enough to not even let me stop crying before they brought the bill
