IAMS and animal cruelty
I stumbled upon this website. It seems pretty legit. I'm definitely going to spread the word if it's true...

I dunno...
Everybody's got funny ideas about animal cruelty and PETA's one of them. Anything they say, I wouldn't be too sure that its the truth... |
I'd really like to know if thats truthful or not.
That is one of the things that pisses me off more than anything else. There was this dude I knew when I lived about 5 miles from here. His house was 2 blocks away but in plain few through a field in the middle of my block. No houses were on the lots between us. It was like saturday or something b/c I was swimming laps in the pool and I had just finished up and I saw was watching toward the park (on other side of his house) and I just happened to see him by his dog, who hadnt quit barking for about an hour that I was outside. (I couldnt care less if he barked... it was 3 in the afternoon and thats what dogs do... they bark) Anyway... he was on his porch yelling at his dog to shutup, and I saw him walk over to him and kick him square in the face, and kick him in the side as the dog tried to get back to its box. Apparently the alcoholic jobless fuck was trying to sleep off a hangover from the night before because he was laying on his couch when I walked up to his house. I also had his dog on one of my leashes, he opened the door and asked me "What the fuck are you doing with my dog?" I calmly explained to him that I was taking the dog to my house and I would be its new owner from now on. He got pissed off obviously because I was blatantly stealing his dog. I told him I had video tape of him kicking the dog in the face and sides. If I didnt take the dog then the tape was going to authorities so that he could be fined and then the dog taken away anyway. Obviously he didnt want a fine to take away from his beer money so he told me to fuck off he didnt want the fucking loud dog anymore. I got a new dog too :) I only kept him for about a week then I gave him to a friend of mine who lives on a farm in the country so the dog could have tons of running area and I knew that he would have a good healthy relationship with my friend. I would not have hesitated for a second to knock that drunk ass out either. Its the same as if I saw someone hit a little kid on the street who couldnt defend themselves if you ask me. (oh yeah I didnt have any video tape of the incident either hehe ) (On an offtopic I'm also a avid hunter, so not all of us hunters are cruel to animals :) ) |
sadly enough, :( it's probably true. why wouldn't a bigass animal food comapany test on animals? because Tom and Jane want their dog to have a nice shiny coat, or for their puppy to get food that will help it build strong bones. so on and so on. I can see where animal testing is nescessary, to an extent. the sacrifice of the few for the masses. but deplorable conditions are completely out of the question.

PETA is one of those organizations that likes to take small things and make them an alternate reality. They also will see things differently, because of their fanaticism.
Quite obviously, anyone who goes to work for these people is going to be very biased in their direction. I LOVE animals, but most of these PETA people make me sick, and I do not believe anything coming out of their stupid pieholes. *has 3 hamburgers, rare* |

This is the kind of thing I was actually looking for. I'd never heard of PETA before.... And Menoman: much props for doing that! |
PETA people truely are fanatics, and not in a good way.
I remember the Howard Stern episode on E! where he threatened to torture or kill animals if they didn't do what he said. A pig, maybe I can understand why you would save that, fish, maybe, but COCKROACHES?! |
What specifically are you talking about with roaches Jimmy?
|
I forget, not everyone watches Howard.
There was a PETA protest going on in New York City and Howard invited three attractive PETA girls into his studio to voice their opinions. After they came in and started talking for a little bit Howard cut them off and threatened to kill various animals if they didn't do what he wanted. First one of them had to take off their top to save a pig, then it was two had to make out to save a fish, then to save a cockroach two had to take their tops off and make out. This wasn't set up earilier though, these were actual PETA girls. During the credits they showed the girls later on during the day, painted as tigers and locked up in cages (some people might remember the picture of them long ago on Fark). |

I am sure that they do keep animals and test them. I mean HELLO they make pet food.
Seems realistic to me. |

does Emeril feed a steak to a dog and ask it if it's good? |
It isn't hard to show PETA is full of idiots: They give you plenty of oportunity and assistance.
http://www.peta.org/feat/arafat/ ---------------------------------------------------- PETA’s letter to Yasser Arafat February 3, 2003 Yasser Arafat, President Palestinian National Authority Ramallah, West Bank Palestinian Authority 1 page via facsimile: 972 7 282 2365 Your Excellency: I am writing from an organization dedicated to fighting animal abuse around the world. We have received many calls and letters from people shocked at the bombing in Jerusalem on January 26 in which a donkey, laden with explosives, was intentionally blown up. All nations behave abominably in many ways when they are fighting their enemies, and animals are always caught in the crossfire. The U.S. Army abandoned thousands of loyal service dogs in Vietnam. Al-Qaeda and the British government have both used animals in hideously cruel biological weaponry tests. We watched on television as stray cats in your own compound fled as best they could from the Israeli bulldozers. Animals claim no nation. They are in perpetual involuntary servitude to all humankind, and although they pose no threat and own no weapons, human beings always win in the undeclared war against them. For animals, there is no Geneva Convention and no peace treaty—just our mercy. If you have the opportunity, will you please add to your burdens my request that you appeal to all those who listen to you to leave the animals out of this conflict? We send you sincere wishes of peace. Very truly yours, Ingrid Newkirk President, PETA |
PETA took a good idea wayyyyy to far.
Also, well done Menoman. That was the best thing you could have done (besides kicking the guy square in the face and in the side and THEN taking the dog away :) ) |

Holo, that is great. PETA fucking sucks. Idiots. I do not believe this IAMS shit and it sounds like PETA is just trying to stir the pot again. Oh well, I seriously I wish I could get paid for doing nothing but starting corporate shit. Man, I would be so fucking good at it too.
