Question regarding pubic hair...
 

Okay... i have a question for those of you out here who are willing to "bite"... (no pun intended ;) )

more and more i see people who are adamantly against any sort of pubic hair... i notice this in particular with women... though i do know a few men who shave as well...
it seems that everyone is either shaven completely... or leaving this thin little "stripe" of hair...

why is this?

now, i am all for keeping things trim and tidy... and depending on the person, there may be more need for trimming than not... but what happened to a more "natural" look being ok?

it seems that in every thread i read, and most of the pictures i see... clean shaven is the preferred way of doing things.

since the induction of silicone, and now saline breasts... liposuction... collagen injections... botox and the rest... it seems that nothing is left natural anymore.

is cleanly shaven pubic hair now one more thing to add to that list? ... have we completely tossed "natural" out the window?

what do you all think? just curious. :)

personally, i believe in the clean-up when it comes to my privates... i like to keep things short, about 1/2 inch or so if i can manage it.

when it comes to the balls, though, i shave that thing - there's nothing quite as breathtaking as a freshly shorn scrotum, you know... :D

I know for me, at least, I refuse to go down on a girl that's hairy.

It's just not sexy anymore. Trends change.

clean and smooth does not mean un-natural.

In fact it is more natural.
It is not like Liposuction or implants. the person who chooses to do this is not doing anything to their body. They are just having a temporary haircut.

Now, I am not stating my preference for which one I think is better even though I do have my preferences. All I am saying is that it is in no way similar to the permanent, body altering, and invasive modifications that you mentioned.

It has been so long since I last had a woman with hair on her... I am actually quite nostalgic for some pubic hair...

I find the whole, it must be bald, thing a bit infantalizing. It seems to feed off a need for the women in our fantasies to be increasingly younger...

That said, a hairless pussy is a lot of fun to play with... It is a lot easier on the tongue for one thing.

I prefer shaved.

as i said... i believe in keeping things trim, attractive, and pleasant not only for the viewing eye... but the wandering hand, mouth, tough, or what every else my find it's way there...

completely shaven... or the "racing stripe" as i like to call it *laugh*... is really not a natural state of being for most people. most of the women i know who keep it that way, have to shave daily... and even then, it's stubbly by the end of the day...
it can be terribly uncomfortable, not to mention irritating to delicate skin types...

i am just surprised by how much "anti-pubic hair" sentiment i encounter.

*shrug*... maybe i am just behind the times... trim and soft will do fine by me...

there are many "bushes"... that are very trim... very soft... and smell exquisite...

I don't shave completely. My shit is very short.

Sorry dude, but when I think of bush it's big and musty smellin' and I don't want anything to do with that.

I don't think that going bare means it's unnatural by any means. Personally I think it is odd that a guy would shave down there but then I've never been with a guy that did that....hey - maybe I'd like it! hmmmmmmmmmm :D

Look... i feel the need to make one thing clear...

first, i am not attempting to make a value judgement about shaven pubic regions... or not shaven regions... i am simply curious about what you all think.

second, when i say it's not "natural"... i don't mean that as a put down, or to imply something "bad". it simply means that "naturally" we have hair there... and we have to shave or wax to remove it... therefore it's "altered".

i don't want to get too deep here... or get anyone on the defensive... i am just curious about this new "standard".

i'm also curious as to whether or not men and women hold men to the same standards that women face regarding this issue...

I agree with you, having some pubic hair doesn’t mean it's gonna be "BUG MUSTY SMELLIN' BUSH" unless she just doesn’t take care of herself. Shaved, trimmed or bushy will smell and taste the same on any given woman. Experience has taught me this:D

Recently I've been on both sides of this issue. I did shave completely and now I have a little growing back. It's nice both ways.
When your hairless it's easier to feel things and its easier for him too.
Having hair provides a little bit of extra, different feeling.
It doesnt really matter much to me. To shave or not. I'm perfectly ok with doing whatever my boyfrend likes.
For the guys.... I like the hair, I like to play with it and I'm not sure that I could get used to it being shaven.

I prefer little to no hair for two reasons.

1) It increases the sensitivity during play time and

2) It doesn't get in my mouth during oral.


So for me, it's functionality. And Yes, I keep my boys shaved and the rest very short.

Why do I like it? For one thing, I find it easier to please her, and it's just darned sexy knowing that she's gone to the trouble for me. And I just <i>like</i> it... ;)

Shaved feels younger...more appealing somehow.

my girlfriend did it for me, and i shaved the balls for her and kept the bush quite nicely trimmed. I like some bush above, but i like the lips clean for oral purposes. i wouldn't consider myself a shaved clean guy though.

Both my partner and I shave. We like the slipperyness of it.

*wading in on the subject... * I like trim on a woman... I'm very tactile... so I like to 'play with' and run my fingers in the soft tuft. My wife keeps it trim and clean... nice and sweet smelling... 'sides.. the hair down there is a natural 'lubricant' allowing for good sliding...
clean shaven seems somewhat 'high maintenance' to Me... I've tried it... didn't really care for it... unless it was oiled it was not conducive to slippery....

Oh yeah... on Me? I'd do whatever My wife preferred... I trim now but no shaving...

i, for one, completely prefer the all natural look. i don't like bald punanys very much. but then again, i'm not a fan of the jungle bush type thing either. a moderate, normal amount of pubic hair is the way it should be, imho.

Myself, I like trim for everyday, none for special occasions. Myself I keep trim, with none underneath. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. My gf didn't like the completely bare look on me; for one thing, where do you stop shaving? So I keep it the way she likes it, and she does the same for me. Equity in all things.

I'm of two minds on this. When going down on a women I much prefer completely shaved. That said, a nicely trimmed bush is damn sexy. Something about it is appealing. Especially when you can see it through sheer panties. :D

mhm..i keep myself shaved bare...so does my bf (his idea, but i of course fully support it ;) )

...and i prefer other pussies to be shaved as well...a very short 'stripe' or whatever would also be acceptable, but anything more is just unattractive imo.

I like a big fluffy bush. As long as she bathes regularly and keeps the yeast at bay. It's soft to rub against (like fur) and I like the look of it. As for oral, use of the fingers to push the fur out of the way has proven effective and stimulating. The 'bacon strip' looks silly to me. And as far as the beach goes, I've found it sexy in a voyeuristic kind of way to spot two or three hairs peeking out from the side of the front of the bikini bottom. Peeking out from the side of the back of the bikini bottom would be creepy.

I like to trim my bikini line and brows, have long hair and shave all from legs, armpits and arms. This is what I feel most comfortable and good looking with and it's easy to maintain routinely.

After long debate, I got my bf to drive hair from his balls. First there were "what would the boys say in the gym!" sort of arguments, then the resistance withered into "..but it will feel horrible growing back after a few days..". He always whined how licking him around there tickled terribly and after he got rid of the extra hair down there, it all changed. Boy, had he just kept his head and missed out on it.. *wide grin*

I'd still give Brittney a shag if she was hairy. I just might not enjoy it as much. :)

Well said... and i couldn't agree more. For me, there is something very erotic and extremely sexy about the look or a nicely trimmed soft mound of pubic hair. Perhaps it's that "darker region" thing... a tempting shadow of "what lies beneath"... the whole hidden and forbidden thing.

I know many people say shaved gives the illusion of "younger". Strangely enough for me it's the opposite. Nicely kept, soft trim pubic hair says "young demure" to me. Completely shaved says "I'm ready, hurry up, come and get me!" *laugh*

and of course... BOTH of those statements are tempting... largely why i would never electrolysis the whole thing completely clean... reduces one's options. :)

I use a beard trimmer and shave as close as it will allow around the balls, the area between the balls and the anus, and above the penis. As some of the other men have said, I like to keep my pubic area clean. Having long curly pubic hair was uncomfortable for 2 reasons: (1) It was embarrasing when it shed or fell off when you least expect it. I wear boxer and baggy basketball short, so the "boys" can breathe; and (2) When the pubic hair gets long, it can sometimes wrap around itself or other hair and when you move it hurts like hell because you'll accidentally jerk the hair!! Ouch!

I would have to say that I would enjoy either. Soft curly hairs are fun to play with and a slick shaved cat can be very sexy.

I have never shaved my own as my girlfriend has expressed no interest and I am sure she would have if she wanted to.

So... In sumnation.... Variety is the spice of life... That applies to pubic hair too.
