Naked-photos-on-the-web Discussion
First of all, let me say that I am still alive and breathing. I have NOT changed my name to warrrreaglurker.
1) Which of you have submitted personally-made nude photos of someone else to a website? I am curious about those who have snapped a candid photo and immediately thought, "Boy, I can't wait to upload this to Tilted, or Priceless, or Freakhole, or whatever." 2) Which of you have encountered a naked photo of someone you knew (NOT submitted by you) on the web? I have not had this experience/luck. 3) Similarly (especially for us old-timers), which of you have encountered naked photos of someone you knew in a magazine? I have not had this experience/luck, either. 4) Finally, which of you have encountered naked photos of yourself on the web that were a surprise? ....discuss.... |
1) I'd kinda like to share photos of my wife... however, she says no. This was a condition of taking the photos in the first place; for my eyes only. I love her more than I love you guys, so them's the rules.
2) and 4) are all answered, for those who can reach it, in this TFP Exhibition thread. For those of you who can't, the short answer is I met Lorna Morgan on a vacation at a nude beach, but didn't know she was a nude model. I'm in the background on a photo on her website, but I'm not recognizable. And for 3), I picked up a copy of Voluptuous with Lorna in it. :D |
I think i would skew the results...

1) I haven't and won't. To me, doing that seems like bragging ("Hey look at me, I have a hot wife/gf!!")

I will address #3:
About 2 years after I graduated High School, I was at a friends dorm room in college and saw a fresh copy of Shaved magazine in the table. Of course I could not resist thumbing through!! and who was in it shaving her box? One of my best friends ex-girlfriends. With a new boob job. A year or 2 later she started doing Porn Movies - she is no superstar but has done about 25 films. Her Porn name is "Lennox", but I will keep her real name a secret for now. This was a real shocker, considering that it was a very small & snobby High School. |
I would never post pics of my girlfriend online, even if she wanted me too. Like war said, she's for me only.

It's exciting to share someone you love with others you care about. Knowing other people are enjoying pictures of her excites both of us. The feedback we got was very flattering and exciting too. As I've demonstrated amply to myself recently, I seem to have fairly broad boundaries about sharing her with others. The other night I was out of town and I gave her permission to fool around with our um-friends* D and S. Actually, what I said was that I granted her a one-night pass to manage her own boundaries. Big mistake. I spent that night lying awake in a hotel room in Atlanta wondering what was going on, imaginging what I might be missing, and dying to be there being part of it. When the alarm clock finally went off it was a huge relief to be able to have something else on my mind. But that was the very first time I've ever had a problem with sharing her. The answer to all the rest is NO. * "Um-friend". You know. Like, you're introducing them to somebody else and you say, "This is my, um, friend Monique." ** ** I picked the name Monique because it's sexy. Yes it is. Shut up. |
I am undecided on this issue.

Although you rightfully recused yourself from question #1, I would still like to hear from you on #2-4. Have you run across pictures of someone you know (personally, NOT professionally, and internet or magazine) that surprised you? Have you ever been surfing and found photos of yourself that you didn't know had been submitted? |
1) Havent, wouldnt. I just dont feel that I need to share pictures of a SO.
2) Yes. Last weekend, I found pictures of a friend that I hadnt talked to in years. Personally I think it is more wierd that cool/fun/whatever. 3) Nope. 4) Nope. |
Oh, one addition to my previous answer, and it's in the neighborhood of #2.
Some years back I worked at a gourmet grocery store, and my manager was a TOTAL FREAKING HOTTIE. She was totally gorgeous, amazing body, she wore skin-tight clothes... She was just totally fine. It was a delight to work in her department every day. And she had an identical twin sister who was, as you could probably imagine, equally fine. A year or so after I last saw her, I ran into her mother, who mentioned that they'd gone down to Mardi Gras that month. So guess who was scouring the Mardi Gras picture boards all over the web for the next few weeks? :D Never did find anything of her, though. :( |
Yes. We inhabit multiple worlds. One of them is an image world. Our images are present in the image world just the same way that our bodies are here in the physical world. I don't see much of a distinction. Just as I don't see much of a distinction between the physical world and cyberspace.
Your questions seem to imply that there is a significant distinction between the physical world and the image world. I don't focus on that distinction enough to be able to answer your questions in a way that seems relevant to your intentions - although I'm not clear what they are besides drawing the distinction between the image world and the physical world. In general, when I do see a distinction made between worlds, I work to blur it. |
