Hair

Ok well I'm pretty bored and working on a essay is pretty draining so I was sitting and thinking about how people do their hair. generally in the shower i use a shampoo then dry my hair off with a towel and wait about 5mins then use some gel etc but often after i dry my hair with the towel the right side of my head has hair which is pretty much a mess because the hair isnt totally straight but curves at the end. Anyway to prevent that and have nice even straight hair on both sides of the head?

sorry if my spelling/grammar is a bit off.

My hair is short, no need for anything other than a towel dry after the shower, nothing else is needed.

Well, when I had hair it took me about 20 minutes everyday to do it. I'm really not good at it. I went without hair for so long that when I grew it back out it fucked up my whole life. Having to wash it everyday to get out all the nasty shit I had to put in it to make it do what I wanted it to. I used this stuff called Hair Glue. And yes it was just like glue. It was the only thing that would keep my hair standing straight up. I have sense shaved it all off again.

Shave your head. Guys don't need hair.

I have short hair, too.

I like it really really short, I hate being able to grab it just above my ears... that really annoys me. Not only that, but when it touches my collar or bangs touching my forehead.

So I usually go with a military style haircut... maybe a product of going to a military catholic school?

I've got longer hair, and my routine goes as follows. I wash it everyday, let it sit for about 5 minutes or so, then blow dry it (otherwise it would take forever to dry.) After blowdrying, I simply shake my head like a dog, and every hair falls into its place.

My hair is naturally wavy and goes out of control if I don't spend like an hour styling it, so most days I just throw it in a braid right out of the shower and go on my way. But if I have the time, I usually blow dry it and then straighten it with a flat iron. Sometimes I put in special curling mouuse and scrunch it, thats a little quicker. But most days its just pulled back and out of the way, nice and simple.

I have naturally straight hair which is layered. It's a blessing but also a nightmare. My hair likes to do the 'one side looks good, the other side looks bad'. What I find works best for me is to dry my hair real well with a towel, then apply some gel and keep running my fingers through my hair to keep it from setting odd. I then blowdry until almost fully dry then use a curling iron to either curl it or straighten out any crazy flyaway strands.

These days I shampoo and condition in the shower, then don't touch it again. It doesn't bother me, I don't bother it.

Back when I had long hair (my ponytail reached past my belt), I shampooed and conditioned, then brushed for ten or fifteen minutes. I sort of miss my hair, but I'm glad I don't have to do that anymore.

thick, 3 to 6 or more inch long, straight hair. Shower, wash it everyday. Get out dry it off, comb it back. After that I simply every once in a while shake or "head-bang" (least that's what people say it looks like I'm doing) my head to shake off some extra moisture, and it pretty much dries and settles how i want it. Main thing is I hate hair come down over my forehead, but also don't like the slicked back look.

Been doing this so long my hair is pretty much trained. That and the lady who cuts my hair does a damn good job. Just tell her "this is my standard morning routine", and she asks "willing to do this and this to make it look this way", when I say no, she cuts it the best way to go with how I take care of it. She wants to experiment and have me grow it out nice and long, but I'm going to wait on that till next winter.

I'm a girl, but my hair is about three inches long all over my head and pink at the moment. I shampoo, no conditioner, towel dry, and then leave it until its just damp, run some gel through it and go (and this is if I care how I look that day).

My hair has started behaving better since I started bleaching it to play with new colours and stopped conditioning it. When I (finally) go and get it cut, they always comment on how healthy it is, go figure.

my hair is usually really short, short enough to run the towel through it 3 "wipes," and it's completel dry. But right now it's getting really long, so I dry it about halfway and then put a toboggan (sp.?) on and go to class. And when I take the toboggan off, all hell breaks lose.

I have long hair (like 10 inches or so), and you wouldn't believe the hell that I go through (boo hoo right? lol) sometimes to get my hair to at least behave sometimes. I use a straightening iron most of the time, but I'm seriously just thinking about getting a short haircut and say "screw it" to the hassle. I have a thin lined face, so I could go either way.

For those of you who are interested, check out my website. I take pictures every month of my hair styles and growth, etc...

I just shampoo it and dry it with a towel. If it is overly messy or if I have to look nice, Ill comb it. Otherwise...

I shampoo and condition it every day. It's the only way to get the classic wax or fiber or palmade I use out, and I like keeping it clean.
I used to have a short flat-top. Then I went to a completley different style. Didn't like it as much, wanted it spiked again, so I went to a normal spike (not flat-top, but not 80s length). Now I'm letting it grow out really long because I'm always too busy to get it cut until it starts to look bad. I've never done it before and want to see how it looks longer without any styling products or anything, except maybe to add texture. So now I'm changing the style as I go to whatever looks good.

best part about having short hair is that all you need is towel and it's dry in no time. Apply wax, spike it up and i'm done..

I've been blessed with the world's WORST hair!!!

If I don't spend quite a bit of time on it every morning, its doomed to look like shit for the rest of the day. It's kind of naturally curly in the weirdest spots, and it can also be very frizzy. I had a really bad experience one time at a salon, and lets just say that they fried the shit out of my hair and I had a burnt/bleeding head from all of the bleach that they felt they had to put on...

So my hair is starting to grow back...but I swear that its just been growing out of my head, damaged already!

But in the mornings, I usually have to blow dry it, then use this smoothing dyer thing, then I put some product on it to calm it down. Followed by a curling iron (if necessary). If I feel lazy I skip to curling iron part and just put it up in a clip, which usually happens at some point during the day anyways...

i keep my hair short too, only because my hair is unaturally thick, and every time i have tried to grow it out it becomes an annoying mess that is impossible to style while in the 3- 10 inch range.

i like to keep it down with clippers on a '1' setting, during the summer, besides i LOVE it when my hair is really short (feels smoother) and my wife rubs the top of my head when i am going down on her.

I have a deal with my hair.
Don't fall out like all of my uncles' hair, and I won't introduce it to a lot of products that have who-the-fuck-knows what in it.

Shampoo and an occasional conditioner, that's it.

I do need a haircut, though. I hate when it touches my ears.

I can't stand that either, drives me crazy.
I keep mine short, preferably ~1-2 CM. Short is neat and efficient.
It pretty well dries itself after a shower, couple of rubs and I’m good.

Sometimes I use a little gel other times just water for styling.

Most stores sell products for hair just like yours - I'd suggest going with the more expensive kinds however most of the Garnier and Frizz Eaze prodcuts work well. I'd also suggest going with the Sebastian products - they're a bit expenisve but worth it.

I shampoo and condition it every other day - then I blow dry it on the highest temp my blow dryer will go and then I apply Sebastian's "Grease" pomade evenly all over. It lifts my hair without wheighing it down and doesen't give it and gunky feeling when I comb it.

Short, same with the beard. If I have to adjust my cap, it's time for a haircut.

And If I ever do style my hair, its with an air compressor.

I shampoo/condition every other day because my hair can't stand being blowdried every day. Other than that, it's just a blowdrier... I have naturally stick straight hair, so I don't do the whole flat iron thing. So yeah, parted to one side and straight down the back. On the days I wash it. On the days I don't, it's usually pulled back to keep it out of my face and on those days it usally doesn't look as good.
