i am so fucking tired of all these spams.

i have thought about following some of the 'click here to recieve $203920' or what not.

what would happen if i took the info and actually tried to buy something?

Try downloading ad-aware to remove any spyware from your system.

get a hold of mcafees spamkiller too, it comes from one of the guys involved in the very cool but unix only for sysadmins spamassasin, it tags emails on a scoring system once a msg has reached a certain score its marked as spam and filtered into a seperate folder, then once in a while you go through the folder and check to see if its accidently caught a real email.

its interesting as to how the scores are made, different phrases in the subject or body, false dates, forged return addresses etc, does a great job, workswith msn and hotmail too.

It's also crazy how they say the majority of spam is fraudulent.. quite pesky

Whatever you do, don't click on the "Click here to unsubscribe" or mail to "unsubscribe@fuckingspam.com". That just lets them know that it's a functional e-mail address and will sign you up for more crap.

My favorite spam is when they generate totally fake e-mail names to try and get you to open their message. I know it's fake when I see MiKEy24357troIus#458@aol.com. And the subject line is something like "I have free money!"

Fucking hilarious.
