OUCH!
my mom just called me from the ER... she slammed her finger in the door of her Jeep and couldn't get the door back open...
luckily someone helped her, and she was really close to the hospital so... poor thing... i feel bad for her... OUCH! :( |
ooohh... I remember my sister doing that to me...
It hurts... There I am, I was sitting in the back seat, and grabbed the pillar between the doors to pull myself out of that tiny car as she shut the door, which happened to be locked. I hope your moms hand gets better, send her some warm fuzzies for me. |
yeah, I did that with my thumb, with a locked door. Had to get someone to get my keys out of my pocket and unlock it. they were in the opposite side of my free hand. if only i had been planning it right, I coulda got some free action out of it, but i was in too much pain to think about that.

My mother accidently ran over me with a car once.
I was prolly 5 and i hadn't shut the door all the way. I also hadn't put my seatbelt on. She kinda jabbed me to put on my seatbelt as we were backing out of the space, and I fell out the unlatched door. Car ran over my legs, but luckily 1983 Toyota Corrolas didn't weigh much. I had tire marks on my legs when we went to the hospital, but wasn't injured at all. True story. Hurt more though, when I slammed my finger in the same door on the way home. |
Closed my thumb in the trunk once... Damn buttons up by the steering wheel. Drunk as I was, I pried it up as far as it would go (talking milimeters here) and just yanked my thumb out.
Still waiting on that new thumbnail.... |
My dad closed my pinky finger in the trunk one time. We were on vacation in San Diego at the time. It obviously wasn't broken, but it hurt a lot so we went next door to a Jack in the Box and got a coffee stirrer and taped it onto my finger like a splint.
I still can't eat at Jack in the Box. Send your mom our best, ok? |
Ouch, did that once. She break her fingers? I've somehow managed to get through quite a few incidents without breaking anything, maybe I'm invincible?
I sat on my nuts today though. If anyone wants to send me a get well card I can pm you my address. |
thanks all! :)
back already... only one finger broken... pretty clean break so a simple finger cast is all she needs at this point... poor thing said that when she did it, it hurt so bad she dropped her keys and they slid under the car... she was standing there crying when someone finally asked her if she needed help... *shudder* now i have to go pick up my daughter at school... nurse called, she has a rash and she can't stay at school *rolling my eyes* since when was a RASH a reason to send a child home from school? is it a full moon or something? |
owieowieowieowieowie
Just hearing about it makes me hurt! I hope your mom and daughter are both okay! :icare: |
I watched my dad do that to my mom's grandma when I was a kid. No wonder she never liked my dad. OUCH indeed!!!
|
Oh man oh man..you HAVE NO IDEA how painful that gotta be! It happened to my sister one and she had to get her nail removed. Thinking about it just made me...*shudder* I can only feel a tiny percentage of what it must have been like. I once slammed a door on my thumb but it didn't hurt much and only took off a small skin but a slamming vehicle door? Your pinkie? No way man, that's gotta hurt like hell!
|
I once slammed a metal security door on my middler finger. Didn't break, but it was the first time i had seen my own bones. Peeled the skin off.
|
Ouchie... Sounds like it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Very lucky though, a friend lost a finger that way. I once got fingers caught in the door, I would have felt it sooner if I wasn't drunk at the time. Ice and more beer made the hurtin' go away.
|
OOWWWW!!! Thats hurts majorly. :(
|
That happened to me when I was younger. We (my family and I) were in the McDonald's parking lot one night, and I was standing right by our car, waiting to get into the front seat, and I was leaning against the door to the back seat. My brother deicided to slam the door right on my fingers. I didn't even scream, I just buckled over in pain with my mouth WIDE open in a silent scream. It took them a second or two to figure out what was happening, but when they did reopen the door, I didn't even have any broken fingers. But they were bruised pretty bad!
I hope that she gets better fast!:D |
Oddly...
Every morning I slam my dick in the pantry door. You know... just to keep me grounded. |
GRAPHIC
One of my middle fingers got slammed in a door once. In pain and not thinking clearly i pulled it out and ended up leaving the tip of my finger in between the door frame and the door. I looked down at my finger and could see about a quarter cm of bone sticking out of the tip. Got rushed to the hospital and the doctors sent my father back home to retrieve the rest of my finger. They sewed it back on, hoping that the blood vessels in it would reopen. Alas, the tip turned black and fell off, only to be eaten by my cat. Fortunately the tip had scarred over enough for that not to be an issue. So now one of my middle fingers is about a half cm shorter than the other one. The nail is its natural length though, so it always looks like i'm rocking a press-on nail. Moral: Don't pull your finger out if it is stuck in a door. |
Yeah, dear old Mom accidentally slammed all the fingers of my right hand in the station wagon door when I was 4 or so....and since that was in the mid-70's, those doors were heavy!
Your Mom has my sympathy....and I hope she gets better quickly. |
My dad went to shut the trunk. Resistance.
Slammed it again. Resistance And again, same result. Looked round, and there I was screaming with my fingers in the trunk. I was only small! |
Been there, done that. Your mom's in for a bad night. Please let her know we feel her pain!
I was five, and out delivering fuel oil with my grampa. Leaned out to shut the truck door and closed it on my left thumb. Not fun. |

I just about died when my 6 year old son slammed his own hand in the door of our Buick. We were at a pro baseball game, and he still really wanted to go, so we got some ice (and ice cream) and sat down. He was a real trooper, and we we sure nothing was broken.
The couple next to us did everything they could to distract my son from his pain, and at the stretch they go my son pennants and jerseys and the whole 9 yards. They wouldn't hear of taking anything for their gifts, and they wouldn't give me their last names. They just wanted to be kind, and I let them! He still has that jersey, and he won't let anyone else wear it. |
That happened to me when I was a kid.. rear door slammed on my hand.
Ouch. Good thing I had small hands. |

that reminds me of the time when i was 10, i slammed my finger in the car door, it actually shut and was locked, i had to scream for my dad to unlock it. Damn that hurt.
|
I got my winkie caught in my zipper before and that hurt like hell....hurt worse then getting my finger caught in the door
|
When I was little my parents bought a new Saturn.. I was in the driveway looking at it with them and my dad slammed the trunk closed on my thumb, and didn't even realize what he did. My dumbass mom tried to pull the finger out which made it worse, and by the time they got the trunk open again and my finger dislodged, it seemed like half the blood in my body had poured into the car..
Ehhh...bad times. |
I've had my head closed on by a trunk.
Sufficive to say, it wasn't pretty, nor did I like it. I guess next time we'll take two cars instead of one. :P |
And I thought stubbing my toe was bad, yowie!
|
Oh man, that sucks! I've done it myself. TW (my wife) did it to one of the boys when they were young. Luckily, it was the Dodge Caravan with the plyable door panels. The kids were using the door jam as support when they were getting out of the big door. TW slammed the door and caught my oldest's fingers in the door. Luckily, I was quick to unlock the door and he escaped serious harm.
I actually have a deformed ring finger on my right hand. When I was in second grade, I got my fingers caught in a folding ladder. Damn that hurt! The first hospital we went to wanted to amputate the fingers. Mom and dad were given papers to approve the amputation. Luckily they asked what they were for. We went to another hospital the next day and everything was cool. |
ouch!
hope its all good now the worst ive had is geting my hand stuck in one of the corners of the school doors :P isn't very nice when you're 6 :P |
hope she didn't lose it; i remember when I did that to my brother when I was younger, I felt horrible (-1, off-topic)
|
as a matter of fact... I almost did the same thing this weekend... I was going out to the garage to look for some tools and I had my hand where the hinges are and I shut the door right on them. I have never swore so much in my life.
I feel for your mom that must've hurt |
Hope she gets better soon. Smashed fingers suck. I tend to smash mine a few times a year in the gym. So far nothing broken though
