yep - after seven years the world's most noted exhibitionist is turning it off. jennifer ringley, known through out the world for leaving her web cam on in her dorm room, is shutting down the JenniCam.

Paypal is really screwing themselves with this "morality" stance they've taken lately. I hope it hurts their business greatly. Porn is the black blood the internet lives on, whether they want to admit it or not.

yah thats too bad... i remember thinking that was one of the coolest things ever... and i have my webcam on almost 24/7.. i only use paypal as an absolute last resort when theres no other choice....

I had totally forgotten about her. It is the passing of an era I guess, but it is almost sad to me how much it doesn't bother me if you know what I mean.

the Toronto Star had an article on her and her website today; interesting read.

If I remember correctly she is from the DC area. A local radio station used to park out in front of her place and have her wave down to them...

I never paid to view her, just browsed the free stuff on the site. It was pretty cool and she brought attention to what the 'Net could offer. Definitely the end but I'm not sure of what because although one of the first webcam sites it was definitely not one of the best.

Not just for them. Back in '96 Jenni was wicked cool. We're so blaze about web cam not but 8 years ago it was a big thing. I'll be sad to see the lights go out even though I hadn't pulled her site up in a couple months.

Never heard of it. I'm sure it would have 'aroused' my interest back then but now days it's just like Big Brother. And just like Big Brother now days - I couldn't give a f#$%.
