Vinyl TFP Sticker for your RIDE/Briefcase/3-Ring Binder

Evening All,

After doing a bit of research and talking with a few friends; I was considering creating a TFP vinyl cut sticker for my car. If I do this, and can get this done for a reasonable price, I was wondering if anyone else would be interested in purchasing one? I of course would not be interested in making money off of it, I would charge cost plus all the applicable shipping charges.

My idea was to use the T F and P from the header on the top of the page, of course color is an option, as the company said they can get any color that I would want.

So, like I said, this is just an idea, but overall, it would be sooooooo neat to travel into another city and see a TFP sticker on someone's car and KNOW that they are a part of the community..

At first though, it would be like 3"x3" or 4"x4"...

Ideas??

I detest bumper stickers, these would be more like the cut out stickers that can go on the glass, small and discrete.

Though, static stickers would also be a good idea.

I'm down... I can always use a new sticker for my scooter.

I'd even buy four or five.

Why would you want to put stickers on your car? This is something I can never understand.

Your forehead, yes. Your car? Hell no!

Gotta get the creator's permission to make bucks off something dude...

Chances of finding another person's car with TFP bumper sticker is pretty slim dude. For starters, you got some 35000 members right? So, subtract that from the number of people who doesn't have a car or not willing to put a bumper sticker as well those who are "lurkers" So, that leaves what? 20-50 peeps? So, that's about 50 out of some 500 million people that lives in all of North America?

I would buy it but I'm not the sorts of guy that likes to put bumper stickers on my car.

It's SO easy to build an image and then merchandize the hell out of it at Cafepress.com. Why haven't we done that yet? I have a vague memory of TFP v.3 stuff there. Why not now?

I'd buy a couple of TFP T-shirts in a heartbeat! And I'm DYING to put lurkette into a TFP thong!

If any money would go to the forum, then count me in. If say 1500 members were to by one at $6.00 each, with 2 of that going to the forum. That would be cool. And as long as Halx is down for that.

Oh, and where did I ever mention a "BUMPER STICKER"...
...I remember a "I was considering creating a TFP vinyl cut sticker"

For those that may be a bit fuzzy about my idea, I've got a quick and dirty photoshop that will give you a better idea.

These are custom cut vinyl letters that are machine cut, that stick on the glass from the outside, they don't have a background. My whole point was to stay away from the 'bumper sticker' as well as keeping this in a nice, small package.

Lemme know...

honestly i think the sticker would have to be a little better looking than 3 white letters for me to consider buying it.

I'd buy a few vinyl stickers, but it'd have to be slightly more elaborate than just the 3 letters in your quick and dirty photoshop. By the way saltfish, is that your car? I think the G35 is hot.

I think that is a great idea!!!!! Talk to Halx first and get some others to help design the bumper sticker.....we need something that kinda stands out so fellow tfpers can really see the other stickers.

I might be up for something similar. Id say tack on a buck or two for donation to the site though.

The t shirts from way back when were awesome, and I wish that had enough replys to make a reality.

Maybe with all this new rookie participation that idea can be retried?

I know this thread is quite old, but with ever increasing server costs, I think this would be as good a time as any to get this thing going. I might stick one on my computer case if I had it. I'd buy at least two or three... in case I wanted to vandalize myself.

How does interest in this thing stand? And do we have permission?
