GuttersnipeXL 11-19-2003 09:13 PM

Hard to say...do you have one?

Halx 11-19-2003 09:14 PM

it's worth about $500 if I wanna buy it
...and about 10 times that much if I wanna sell it

Menoman 11-20-2003 04:21 AM

i dont have one buy a family member does and he wants me 2 try and sell it....he paid 600 for it a lot of years ago

denim 11-20-2003 05:09 AM

He must be a collector or something like that. To me, it's worth $500.

remiel 11-20-2003 07:41 AM

hmm...

is it legal tender?

Can you exchange it for goods & services?

If so, it's worth $500 and only $500

If not... it depends on the collector.

dnd 11-20-2003 01:13 PM

remiel i can't imagine that it wouldn't be legal tender, although i'm guessing some places would be weary to accept it just in case its fradulent...a bank would more then likely accept it. it would be stupid if it wasn't legal tender,
a $500 dollar bill thats a piece of worthless paper....

$500 bills sell in coin and currency mag's for around $600 to about $650 if they don't have anything significant about them. Uncirculated notes without anything significant can go for $700 to $1000. Condition means everything

It's not worth squat unless you are a collector. Can you even use a $500 bill anymore?

chris2980 11-21-2003 01:43 PM

its probably worth 500 dollars :o

Neato 11-21-2003 04:40 PM

God. Of course it's worth more than $500.
Look in the yellow pages and find a local collecter. That's the best way to find out.

Yes. But I agree that you'd be better off finding a collecter.

The only one I think might be a problem to use is the $100,000 bill, since those didn't circulate in the normal sense. If you could shake one loose, it'd probably be worth quite a bit if you managed to keep from being caught.

Erm...

Why not try eBay?

Isn't this exactly the kind of thing that ebay was originally for? Collecting Pez dispensers if memory serves me correctly.

eBay is the place to go if you want to sell a "collectible".

Just put it up there and see how the bidding goes.

Heh, good idea. I was curious to find out what one might go for...
here's the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=3417

Wadda ya mean "is it still good"??? All money is guaranteed by the federal reserve. No matter how old it is. Otherwise, the dollar bill in your pocket is just a worthless piece of paper, which, theoretically speaking, it is anyway.

dnd 11-24-2003 01:25 PM

i can;t believe thie bids have reached $800 dollars for it on eBay! nice profit!

guess it takes money to make money!!!!!!!!!
