i was born in the philippines. raised in the states as an american. i can not relate to the filipino culture.. or at least.. the filipino-american. they are always so "FLiP PrYdE" and what not. and seem so shallow. that's not me at all. i'm asian.. but i'm not reppin'.

My father's side entered USA way back when Thomas Hooker and 100 families came here. So I have ties with American History. ;) My mother's side... well her Grandma was born in Germany... As to what Dragon2Fire said about the library having good geneology <sp> department? Yeah its one of THEE BEST in the country. My dad spent many hours there finding his lineage. ;) |

I am also an Idahoan...I am always amused when people ask the dumb questions like were my accent is...or if I farm potatos...I like to tell them that I have a free range potato ranch...I let them graze.... And FYI, to those who care... We actually grow more onions and sugar beets than potato's ... I know alot of random triva crap. |

I'm a perfect example of the effect of the "melting pot". My family heritage is so mixed. Maternal side if very French-German mixed with some or our ancestors even coming from Alsace-Lorraine, France. Paternal side we aren't completely sure of since there was an adoption and the papers are still sealed. Paternal side makes me 1/8 Cherokee but with the blond hair of a German. I know somewhere along the line there's one of the grandfathers from England but that's about 3 or 4 generations ago. I'd have to check my records to know who for sure. |

Never been west of Ohio, been to MA to FL North/South wise tho :) NewJersey or Mass is prob my two favs. But nothing beats the wonderfull farm towns and amish country of PA. |
