Hmm...In high school we used to have the Death Drink which was a mixture that the entire table contributed to. We put in money for the "pot." Everyone at the table had to go before the year was over. My turn came, and my friend grabbed a cup and spit a huge snot hocker in it. Then the entire table put in every condiment known, popcorn, coke, grape juice, egg, chicken, cookies, pizza...it was all in there. I drank a nice gulp of it for the pot. I got $3.00 for it! Ha ha. That was fucking sick. It was nothing compared to what the rest of the table drank and one time or another.
My brother had to eat 3 servings of cheesed broccoli at once. He crammed it all in his mouth, and then puked it up all over his plate. That was what started the whole idiotic deal. A friend dared me to eat the puked up broccoli, and I did for $.50. :) Other than that, I'll have to say Deviled Ham and Spam are the worst things I've ever ate. -Lasereth |
A guy I knew in class went back to his original home in Japan. He brought back these authentic Japanese Candies. They were green, round as big as a silver dollar, and half and inch thick.
It tasted like an ashtray (I'm assuming it tasted like one since it was that bad!) I kept half of it to let my friend try it  |
Umm I quoted this from another thread would it qualify?<p>

Raw freshly killed moose liver.
Don't ask. |
The worst thing I have eaten was badly spoiled ground beef at a Mexican restraunt in Austin. I was hungry and eating fast, so I managed to eat most of it before I realized just how nasty it tasted. I was sick with food poisoning for two weeks.

i really cant think of anything as weird as some of the shit that i've read here, but i can think of the nastiest thing i have seen people eat.
one show that come to mind is "travel sick", a show that was on comedy central a while back. this guy had to eat some nasty crap. i was also watching a show on the food network. this guy was somewhere in asia (i dont know exactly where) and he consumed some sort of squid LIVE. he picked it up out of the water it was in, dipped it in some sauce, and popped it in his mouth. the whole time it's tentacles where flapping around, clinging to his cheeks. i was thoroughly sickened by it. |
poi is the weirdest thing, its like eating glue

And this one time at band camp...
I'm a foodie, so I'll try anything once. I do, however, regret trying some of the more adventurous flavored jelly beans by Jelly Belly, marketed during the Harry Potter marketing frenzy. Grass was ok, dirt was passable, but booger and vomit certainly left something to be desired (like an airsick bag). |
Canned Rattlesnake meat from some wannabe cowboy store. Dunno how authentic the meat was but it wasn't too bad.
|
I had a witchety grub once, and while it didn't taste that bad, I also had a 'live' one and that was kinda freaky.

dog and whale--neither was particularly nice to eat.

hmm,
lets think out of all of the things that I've eaten in my life, I think that eating Taco Poki (aka octopus) was by FAR the worst! it still had the little suction cups on it, and chewing it was like chewing gristly rubber...it was disgusting, but I felt like I couldn't pass up on the chance to try it. I didn't throw up, but I won't ever try it again, and I don't recommend that you try it either! I've also had alligator and calamari, but that wasn't quite so bad, it was just the consistancy of the octopus that made it so gross! |
Mushrooms... of a special variety...
SO DISGUSTING. but in chili... only the texture will get to you... *shudder* |

Blah, plain caviar on nothing but a spoon. Delecacy? I think not...

I live in Malaysia and tried some of the stuff you guys mentioned here. That beancurd pudding is called "taufufa"... love it a lot. Usually these hawkers by the roadside sell it together with soyabean milk. Century egg is one of my favourites! :P The iris-less eyeballs in sweet soup should be "thong yuan" or something... they're made of flour. I like it when it's served in the sweet soup, but sometimes it's served in ginger soup too.
The strangest stuff I've ever eaten has to be some strange mixture which the seniors forced us to eat during scouts. It was something like, tomato sauce, chili sauce, mayonaise, noodles, cream soup, tooth paste, some liquid that people use for headaches and stomach aches, sticks, leaves, sand, stones and much more. There was a pot of it, and a pail to barf into once you down a few spoons. |
