I read an article in the paper today that said the cops found 3,000 plants valued at $13,000,000. Either these plants were HUGE, or pot costs a lot more today than it did when I was a stoner. (Or the media relations representitive for the police department was (gasp!) exagerating)

So I ask you - what does good Northern California green-bud go for these days?

Pot started costing me so much that i eventually quit buying it and became a professional mooch, but that got old real fast with me and my friends so i just quit all together. I would just rather booze up and riot. Now tha i think about it, I spend a lot more going out to a bar to drink than i would spend to get myself stoned for a few days... Damn it! Wowie, I'm glad I don't do pot. Seems pretty darn expensive. One of my friends lights up a whole bunch and always complains about being broke. I used to feel bad for him since he has to work hard to pay his bills but now I don't think I'll give him as much pity.

i concur, the stuff i get goes for $60 (american) an 8th, but i get ounces for $350. it always makes me think of christmas. the red, green, and white.

i always make sure i get the best stuff my guys can find

If you're actually in southern California, your supply is better and cheaper than in other areas where it's either imported long distances or grown hydroponically in warehouses or large, rented homes. Where I am, central coast college town, it's so easy to get marijuana, from so many people, that I've got to believe competition has kept the price lower than, other areas. Not that I've ever bought any here, or anywhere in the last 20 years. But we have illegals growing marijuana on covert plots up in the mountains for the Mexican Mafia, we've got the indoor hydroponics operations also, and a good many people grow their own in closets or the back yard and give away the extra. Yes, there's a lot of demand, but there's also a lot of supply.

Of course, back in the antediluvial days when I smoked, a lid (1 oz) cost ten bucks. But a) if you compensate for inflation, that's more like 40 or 50 bucks, and b) it was mostly low-grade, imported from Mexico. Suitable for high school students, which we were. But the potency of marijuana has really been enhanced by the growers of the last few decades. The last joint I took a few puffs off, maybe 10 years ago, made the whole world flicker, like the sun was strobing on and off. Definitely not your father's marijuana.

All that said, I do consider marijuana a waste of time. Although I do know folks who use it to fight side-effects of chemo, glaucoma, and certain other conditions, and I believe that, if it works for them, they should be able to get it without risking problems with the law.

the stuff i got in philly, 20$ bags were like a gram and a lil bit, like 40 per 1/8oz. these were standard prices that the guy sold it but they would always hook me up with more. this was goood weed. the only time anyone had shwag was 15$ for like an eighth

it really depends who you buy it from cause those guys sold it to another guy selling it to different ppl at school and they would pay more for the same stuff!

it really all depends on all of that, cause there were times when there was a decent flow and it was cheep for the same stuff.

also depends on how u smoke it / what you smoke it out of.

if all that is around is semi decent shawg (yea it sucks but still) and smoke it in blunts, you will get stoned. but if you have lots of good weed smoke it out of blunts and you will be fucked the hell up

Holy Shit. You guys pay alot for weed. Either weed is way more expensive on the coast or you are getting ripped off. I've never paid more then 100 dollars for an ounce. Normally less then that. Last time I bought any I paid about 60 dollars an ounce. Now of course I also buy alot at a time (atleast a couple ounces) which keeps the cost down and I am also personal friends with several of the largest dealers in my state. That helps too.

im not getting ripped off. i have better weed than snoop dogg himself. of course there are no seeds and no stems. just really dense bud covered in red hairs and caked in crystals. i don't need more than 1 hit to get totally annihilated.

Whenever you hear about a drug bust's value, the police break it down to street value. For example, if a gram was to cost $10 and they confiscated 28 grams (an ounce) they would say it was $280 worth of marijuana, when in actuality (is that even a word or is it spelled wrong?) chances are it would have been sold as a whole (bulk) for much much less like $100.

Also the plants weigh a lot more than what the actual end harvest would be. A plant that weighs 10 lbs can be trimmed of all the useless (I know I know, hemp isn't useless) parts and weigh considerably less. It also needs to be cured (or dried out for lack of a better term) which also decreases the weight. They don't take any of this into consideration and just weigh the plants and break it down to gram (or lowest quantity usually sold) values, or they just count the plants and estimate the weight per plant and break that amount down.
Its funny how the DEA and/or police try to make themselves sound like they found warehouses full of drugs when it was probably just a half acre garden.

That all depends on how big you want the joint to be. I've pencil packed an exact half ounce into a phillies blunt (cigar that is hollowed out and filled with pot) before. I've also had rolled 10 joints out of a half ounce too. It all varies.

Schwag is just commercial pot. It is grown outdoors and usually contains seeds, it isn't as potent as the strands that most people seem to smoke these days. The stuff you see in High Times magazine and that they have in Amsterdam is refered to as "Kind". That is the rockstar shit.

Man, I wish I could still smoke.. I wish my mind didn't play tricks on me, that I fall for everytime.

Well, I usually roll 2 joints per gram. Half ounce is 14 grams, so that's 28 joints/half ounce

Swallow 2 Percacet(?) before a couple bong loads, though, and you are fucked for 10-12 hours no matter what quality, and pain killers are real easy to find here.

In the next few months I should be able to get some real nice stuff though.

just by looking at the weed u can usually tell how healthy the plant was, smoking weed from an unhealthy plant is like eating bad fruit. both from plants, its very similar.

dirt weed is like brown and is usually mostly dirt and not a lot of weed. shwag is usually just bad weed thats all dried out or full of sticks and stems.

Meh, while I don't smoke of the quality you are mentioning its not low quality crap either. I HAVE smoked some real high quality weed before and I would rate what I mentioned above as higher middle grade. Once I get a better job then maybe I can smoke the real good stuff.

20/per gram, 50/eighth, 300/ounce, 1100/qp 3200/lb... thats regular price, of course dealer prices are a lot lower. you can roll 1 fat blunt per a gram or you can roll 3 pinners per a gram. blunt = weed rolled in cigar paper, making it burn longer, better and the bud resinates. (my personal choice) pinners = as the name implies, skinngy joints rolled in zig zags/cigarette paper/bible paper
