I myself have more sympathy for animals than I do for people. People create their own problems and also create problems for everything else. It's "just an animal" right? Well sixate, I hope when you die, God treats you with the same mentality that you have about his other creatures. And yes, I know you're an Athiest. Ya know, while I agree with sixate in that had this been a person dragged it would be a whole lot worse, I don't share his humour in it.

If it had been a person, then the person/s doing the dragging should have their skin peeled off slowly in little strips whist being sprayed with pepper spray... or maybe tied to an industrial sized belt sander and left there. While the sander is on the slowest possible setting.

However, the idiots who did this should be left in a room with a number of militant PETA women.

I think this belief is one of the most fundamental differences between two large groups of people. Some see humans as doing nothing but damage to their surroundings while others see themselves as part of their surroundings. Certainly they can do some vicious damage (as evidenced by the cruelty in this story) but, although we are thinking animals which can weigh the consequences of our actions, in the end we are a part of nature for better or worse.

I think the Kangaroo or another Kangaroo should have his 10 minutes and get to kick the living crap out of that sick bastard.

I come form a country where we kill lots of animals to feed us. Its really funny how some people can get worked up about someone killing a kangaroo or dog or what ever, but in the course of the day eat some bacon, steak, eggs fish or whatever. Now I am not saying I agree with what the knuckle heads did... but lets not make this out to be the crime of the century. I just seems like if the anaimal is cute... kittens and kangaroos and puppies... its a "heinous crime" but if thoes same idiots were stomping frogs or something... hardly any one would give a fuck. OK all you PETA members ... let me have it!!!

i think you´ve missed the point, mid.

i don´t think people are objecting to the killing of kangaroos... they are objecting to the way in which this beast was killed.

sure, you come from a country where lots of animals are killed to feed you (so do i)... but you don´t tie your cattle or whatever to the back of your ute and drive till the creature is a mangled mess of bone, blood and tissue. you shoot it. or in some abattoirs, they´re electricuted - which is a fast, painless death.

this instance has nothing to do with whether or not the animal is cute (btw, kangaroos are not all that cute)... its about the appaling cruelty the beast was subjected to.
